COORDINATOR OFFICE OF A’IBOM FIRST LADY EXTENDS EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME LARGESSE BEYOND GOVERNMENT HOUSE
…Visits Medical Facility to Welcome Quadruplet, Twins.
The Coordinator of the office of the First Lady, Akwa Ibom State, Lady Helen Eno Obareki, has extended support and goodwill to two families who early in the week, welcomed multiple birth children in a medical facility in Uyo, as part of ongoing efforts to promote maternal and child welfare in the state.
Represented by a delegation of female Stakeholders led by a former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Dean of Exco, Dr Glory Edet, the Coordinator in a rare show of compassion, settled the family’s hospital bills and presented them with gift items and cash to support the care of the newborns and their mother.
Lady Obareki who prayed that the arrival of the babies would open doors of blessings for their father who is a farmer and mother Regina - a petty trader, thanked the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, for supporting GIFA to execute programmes targeted at enhancing family lives and values
Lady Obareki, who prayed that the children would grow in good health, a sound mind, and wisdom, said that the gesture was to further strengthen family values and enhance the well-being of mothers and children in the state.
Responding to the benevolence of Lady Helen Eno Obareki, the parents of the Quadruplets and Twins respectively thanked her for the thoughtful visit expressing excitement over the show of love exhibited by the Governor and the Coordinator of the office of the First Lady, a memory that would remain with them throughout their lifetime.
The delegation of Stakeholders as well as Aides and staff from the office of the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State were received on arrival, by the Chief Medical Director of Hospital, Dr Dolapo Sh*ttu, who praised Lady Helen Eno Obareki for the timely visit and assistance provided for the families
