The AkwaIbom State Coordinator of Remi Tinubu Support Organisation (RETSO), Rev. Blessing Presson, has passionately called on Nigerian men, Youth, women and all young girls who have attained voting age to take advantage of the extended Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

The PVC is more than a card—it is your voice, your right, and your power to participate in shaping Nigeria's future. Every eligible man, woman and young person must seize this opportunity to become an active participant in our democracy.

🗳️ GOOD NEWS! MORE TIME, EASIER REGISTRATION!

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the deadline for the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

📅 New Deadline: 26th July, 2026

You can register through either of these convenient options:

💻 Online Registration: Begin and complete your registration online at cvr.inecnigeria.org.

🏢 Physical Registration: Visit any INEC State or Local Government Area (LGA) Office nationwide.

🕘 Registration Time: Daily (including weekends), 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Rev. Blessing Presson urges every eligible Nigerian man, Youth, woman and young ladies to register, collect their PVCs, and encourage family members, friends, and neighbours to do the same. A stronger democracy begins with active participation, and every vote truly counts.

A new month is not merely a change of date; it is another opportunity to strengthen our resolve, deepen our unity and advance our collective vision.

June is often associated with growth, progress, and new opportunities. Having reached the midpoint of the year, it offers us a chance to reflect on our journey so far, appreciate achievements and renew our commitment to our goals.

CBN UPDATES BANK CHARGES, INCREASING ATM FEES AND REMOVING MAINTENANCE

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released a new "Guide to Charges by Banks and Other Financial Institutions 2026," which introduces significant changes to everyday banking fees effective May 1, 2026. These updates increase one-time costs while eliminating several recurring fees to promote digital payments.

KEY FEE CHANGES
• ATM Card Issuance & Replacement: The fee for standard naira debit and credit cards has increased by 50%, rising from ₦1,000 to ₦1,500.

• Monthly Maintenance Charges: The ₦50 monthly maintenance fee for all naira-denominated debit and credit cards has been scrapped.

Note: Foreign currency-denominated cards will still attract an annual maintenance fee of $10.

• Electronic Transfer Fees: Interbank transfer charges have been tiered to favor small transactions:
° Below ₦5,000: Free (₦0).
° ₦5,000 to ₦50,000: ₦10.
° Above ₦50,000: ₦50.

ATM WITHDRAWAL UPDATES
The new guidelines standardise withdrawal fees and remove previous exemptions:

• Own Bank ATMs: Withdrawals remain free.
• Other Bank ATMs (Not-On-Us):
° On-site (at bank branches): ₦100 per ₦20,000 withdrawal.
° Off-site (remote locations): ₦100 fee plus an additional surcharge of up to ₦500 per ₦20,000 withdrawal.

• Removal of Free Withdrawals: The previous policy allowing three free monthly withdrawals from other banks' ATMs has been discontinued; all such transactions now attract a fee.

ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS
• Merchant PoS Transactions: All card payments at merchant locations (Point of Sale) remain free for the customer. The 0.5% Merchant Service Charge (capped at ₦10,000) is borne entirely by the merchant.

• Cash Withdrawal Limits: The cumulative weekly withdrawal limit across all channels is ₦500,000 for individuals and ₦5 million for businesses.

• Penalty for Violations: Financial institutions that breach these new charge guidelines face a penalty of ₦2 million per infraction.

Once you forget God, it doesn't change God, but it changes You from God and it's end is always destruction.

God, thank You for the promise of Your presence. You hear me when I call out to You, and You answer me in Your perfect timing. I know this, but sometimes I can’t sense Your nearness, or I question Your response. In those moments, please remind me that You are my source of hope and strength. A month of new possibilities, a new focus and a chance to shine. Let your light shine bright, illuminating the path for others to see the goodness of RETSO, celebrate your unique light and let it illuminate the way forward.

May we use this month to strengthen our resolve, refocus our efforts, and redouble our commitment to our great party and the people of AkwaIbom State.
