Today, I joined His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, to commission the newly completed bridge project executed by the Member representing Yenagoa/Kolokuma-Opokuma Federal Constituency, Hon. Oboku A. Oforji

The bridge is another important step in improving access for our people. I also appreciate His Excellency for approving the extension of the road to Glory Drive, while commending Hon. Oforji Oboku for his continued commitment to delivering impactful projects for our constituency.

Today, I was deeply humbled to receive the women of Team FaithZibs, led by our Women Leader, Mrs. Okpomasa Blessing, on a heartfelt courtesy visit.

Their thoughtful gesture of celebrating my birthday and presenting me with new yam in commemoration of this year’s Uge Adiafaa Festival means so much to me. It is a beautiful reminder of our rich Atissa heritage, the values we share, and the strong bond that unites us as one political family.

I sincerely thank every woman of Team FaithZibs for the love, prayers, and support you have continued to show me. Your loyalty and commitment inspire me to do even more in service to our people.

I also used the opportunity to encourage us all to remain united and focused. Unity is our greatest strength, and as we prepare for the elections ahead, we must continue to mobilise, support, and work tirelessly for the success of our great party, the APC, and all our candidates.

Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, together with other distinguished government functionaries, to the historic Odi Ogoriba Uge Festival in Odi, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area. Earlier today, I had the honour of accompanying my boss, His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, to the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy’s 2nd Quarter 2026 Citizens/Stakeholders’ Engagement, held in Lagos.

The event was a huge success. His Excellency delivered a truly exceptional keynote address on the theme, “Sub-National Leadership in Advancing Nigeria’s Maritime and Blue Economy: The Bayelsa Experience and Pathways for Coastal State Development.” He called on Nigeria’s coastal states to move from the sidelines to the forefront of the blue economy and outlined five strategic pathways for doing so — from dedicated institutions and legislation to coastal security, ocean data and investment in maritime skills and fisheries.

He also proudly highlighted Bayelsa’s leadership as the first state in Nigeria to establish a full-fledged Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, our progress on the Bayelsa Blue Economy Law, and the transformative Bayelsa Aquaculture Village at Yenegwe. He further announced the appointment of a Transaction Adviser for the Agge Deep Seaport, a major milestone for one of our flagship projects.

I am Proud to serve under such visionary leadership as we continue to position Bayelsa as a national model for the blue economy.
