Adamawa Government Issues Deadline for Presentation of Certificates

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has issued a directive requiring all workers in government institutions, ministries, boards, and agencies to immediately present their certificates. According to the Governor, this move aims to restore order and prevent unqualified individuals from occupying positions, thereby denying opportunities to the younger generation.

The Governor emphasized, “This exercise is not intended to witch-hunt anyone but rather to ensure sanity in the system.”

He warned that failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of October salaries until the certificates are submitted. However, Governor Fintiri has assured that, “No one will be denied their salary if they present their certificates before the end of October.”

The Governor's directive is driven by concerns that some individuals are taking advantage of system failures to engage in wrongdoing. He stressed, “These issues must be addressed, and the service should be a haven for scholarship and honesty, rather than a haven for misfits.”

The Action of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in regards to the Edo State Election is not the same thing as what Barr. Hudu Yunusa did in Adamawa State.

Hudu announced the result in the State Collation Center and declared a winner. Whereas, Governor Fintiri announced the so far collated results in the PDP situation room to update fellow party men and supporters.

The difference is clear, so be guided please.

The Adamawa State Government under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri through ADSEMA and The MCRP with support from NEMA, Ministry of Tripple R + H and The Ministry of Environment has commenced the immediately distribution of critical flood readiness prevention items to identified at risk communities across 11 frontline local governments.

This is one out a three pronged containment strategy that includes sensitization, community engagements, distribution of critical support items and the preparation of identified safe locations where victims of the impact of the flood will be housed when it happens.

The executive secretary ADSEMA and NEMA are joint incidence commanders for the response and preparedness structure.

PDP North East Zone Throws Weight Behind Damagum As National Chair

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, Borno, and Yobe states have endorsed Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum's leadership as Acting National Chairman.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri speaking on behalf of the five states, expressed confidence in Damagum's leadership since assuming office. Citing a Federal High Court Abuja restraining order, Fintiri stated that Damagum should complete former Chairman Dr. Iyorchia Ayu's tenure unless the court decides otherwise.
The Governor praised Damagum for restoring public confidence in the party and urged members to respect the court's ruling for the party's and democracy's sake.
The Governor who described the performance of the party in the North East region during the 2023 elections as unprecedented at all levels noted that the zone deserves the position of National Chairman more than any section in the North.
A Federal High Court in Abuja had barred the National Working Committee, Board of Trustees, National Executive Committee, PDP, INEC, and affiliates from replacing, nominating or appointing any Chairman other than Ambassador Damagum, following a restraining order by the Court.

The Adamawa State Government on Tuesday, officially handed over the construction site for the Jimeta Modern Shopping Complex to Associate Designs and Consultants.

This act marks the beginning of an exciting new development project aimed at enhancing the local commercial landscape in Adamawa State.
This phase marks the start of the preliminary activities for the construction work.

Adamawa State government awarded the contract to three contractors, who will oversee the projects over the next 20 months.

The three contractors assigned to handle the construction projects at the Modern Shopping Complex site are Lubell Nigeria Limited, Madugu Commercial & Construction Company Limited and Amijapp Nigeria Limited.
