Meeting of the Permanent Secretary with HODs/HOUs/& some Staff of the Adamawa State House of Assembly Service Commission, today, Monday, 24/8/2026.

The Permanent Secretary of the Adamawa State House of Assembly Service Commission held a meeting with Heads of Departments and Units.
During the meeting, the Permanent Secretary urged all Directors and Heads of Units to encourage their staff to be punctual and regular at work. She also emphasized the importance of dedication, commitment, and responsibility in carrying out their assigned duties.

The Permanent Secretary further encouraged all staff to take their official responsibilities seriously and contribute positively to the effective functioning of the Commission.

Every Permanent and Pensionable staff member is expected to keep to the normal working hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm

There should be strict compliance to the requirements of the Time Book/Attendance Register.

She then commended all those who always make efforts to attend to their duties regularly and timely, encouraging them to uphold the tempo. That it usually through observing such attitudes that officers can be considered for appointment to HODs or other special assignments.

After responses, contributions and observations from the Officers in attendance with resolutions made, the meeting came to an end at around 1:15pm.

Day 1: Adamawa State House of Assembly Service Commission Commences Promotion Interviews for Eligible Staff.

The Adamawa State House of Assembly Service Commission has commenced the first day of promotion interviews for eligible staff as part of its commitment to ensuring timely career progression and enhancing the welfare of its workforce.
The exercise is aimed at recognizing and rewarding dedication, professionalism, competence, and outstanding service among staff members. It also demonstrates the Commission's commitment to promoting merit, fairness, and efficiency within the civil service.

Speaking on the exercise, the Chairperson of the Commission, Hon. Hannatu Kadala, emphasized that regular promotion is essential for motivating employees, improving productivity, and strengthening institutional capacity.

The promotion interviews are expected to boost staff morale, enhance operational efficiency, and further improve service delivery within the Adamawa State House of Assembly Service Commission and the State House of Assembly.

By this, Commission reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a transparent, fair, and credible promotion process in line with the rules and regulations guiding the Adamawa State Civil Service.

CONDOLENCES VISIT

Today, being the 7th day of July, 2026, the Management and a delegation from Staff of the Adamawa State House of Assembly Service Commission paid a condolence visit to Madam Damaris Balami over the demise of her husband.

The Commission prayed for the repose of his soul and asked God to grant Madam Damaris and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Burial arrangements as announced by the family indicates that, the co**se will be brought to EYN State Low-cost by 10:00am wednesday tomorrow 8/7/2026 funeral service to be followed by final internment at the Jimeta Central Cemetery (Opposite State Polytechnic Gate).
For those who might have the opportunity to attend, Staff Members are encouraged to participate in comforting our colleague, Mrs. Damaris.

The Chairman of the Adamawa state house of Assembly service Commission, Hon. Hannatu S. Kadala, Permanent Secretary, Mrs Regina A.Njidida and the Commission Members graced the occasion of the sendforth ceremony in Honour of their Retired senior Officers:

1. Permanent Secretary, Ruth Huram.
2. Former S.O, Mrs. Naimatu Usman.
3. Former Director Finance, Mrs. Felicia J. Kwaji, and,
4. Former Asst. Director Admin, Mrs. Sylvia Pamni.

The Chairman of the Commission and permanent secretary expressed their gratitude for their outstanding contributions during their days as Civil Servans. The Chairman specifically lauded their unwavering dedication, professionalism, and high standards of work. Their efforts, particularly regarding improving the standard of work place encouraged the staff towards coming to office in time have been instrumental to the success and progress of the Commission.

The permanent secretary also expressed her deepest gratitude for the dedication, hard work, and positive energy each of them had brought to the commission. She further commended them for having made significant contributions to the improved service delivery. She then concluded that their presence would be greatly missed.

She also showed that the Commission was excited over their new adventures and the growth ahead in their future careers. She then pleaded that they should continue to keep in touch. She then finally thanked them for being such invaluable members of the Commission's team.
