Fatima Abbas Tajudeen Empowers 400 Zaria Youths with Training and Startup Capital
Hajiya Fatima Abbas Tajudeen (Tauraruwan Iyan Zazzau), the first Lady to the Speaker House of Representatives, has taken a bold step in youth empowerment by organizing a two-day intensive training program for 400 young people in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The initiative, held in partnership with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) at Barewa College, Zaria, focused on Cosmetology, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Marketing, the program was designed to equip participants with practical skills that will open up income-generating opportunities and promote self-reliance.
Speaking at the event, Hajiya Fatima emphasized the importance of empowering young people with knowledge and resources to enable them to contribute meaningfully to society.
In a remarkable gesture of support, she also provided startup capital to all beneficiaries, giving them the means to immediately apply their new skills and start their own businesses.
The program received commendation from community leaders, participants, and government officials, who praised Hajiya Fatima’s commitment to youth development and economic empowerment.
This initiative is expected to not only reduce unemployment in Zaria but also inspire similar projects across Nigeria, as it demonstrates the transformative power of combining training with financial support.
