NIPOLY WITED CONGRATULATES THE DIGITAL RECTOR ON HIS WELL-DESERVED TENURE RENEWAL...

Today, the Digital Rector of Niger State Polytechnic Zungeru, AMB. Ibrahim Umar Kontagora, PhD, warmly received members of the Niger State Polytechnic, Zungeru Women in Technical Education and Development (WITED) in his Council Chamber during a courtesy and congratulatory visit.
Speaking on behalf of the entire WITED family, the Coordinator, Mrs. Agnes Nnashetu Oyetunji, congratulated the Digital Rector on the renewal of his tenure as Rector for the second term, describing it as a well deserved recognition of visionary leadership, dedication, and exceptional service to the institution.

She noted that during his first tenure as Rector, the Polytechnic community watched with admiration as he skillfully navigated the institution through challenging times. According to her, Dr. Kontagora did not merely manage the institution; he transformed it through purposeful leadership, innovation, and a commitment to excellence that has left a lasting legacy.

Mrs. Oyetunji further highlighted the Rector's remarkable support for women in technical education. She emphasized that in an environment where technical education was once perceived as a male dominated field, the Rector opened doors of opportunity, encouraged inclusiveness, and provided WITED with a platform to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the institution.

She also commended his efforts in establishing mentorship initiatives that have inspired and empowered young female staff and students to pursue excellence, develop confidence, and realize their full potential in their respective fields.

In his response, the Digital Rector expressed profound appreciation to the WITED family for the visit and for their thoughtful gesture.
He praised the foresight and commitment of the association in advancing technical education and promoting the participation of women in leadership and professional development..

DIGITAL RECTOR'S MESSAGE TO STUDENTS ON THEIR FORTHCOMING EXAMINATIONS...

The Digital Rector, AMB. Ibrahim Umar Kontagora, PhD, has called on all students of Niger State Polytechnic, Zungeru, to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to academic excellence as the examination period draws near.

The Rector urged students to be good ambassadors of the institution by upholding the values of integrity, responsibility, and hard work. He encouraged them to "marry their books" and dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their studies, reminding them that success is earned through determination, consistency, and sincere effort.

Dr. Kontagora emphasized that examinations are not merely tests of knowledge but opportunities for students to demonstrate the fruits of their preparation and perseverance. He strongly advised students to shun all forms of examination malpractice, noting that true success is built on honesty and character. According to him, a certificate obtained through integrity carries greater value and honor than one earned through dishonest means.

The Rector further reminded students that they represent not only themselves but also their parents, guardians, and the Polytechnic community, and by extension, conducting themselves responsibly, which will make their families and the institution proud of them.

As the institution resumes academic and administrative activities following the blessed Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Digital Rector of Niger State Polytechnic Zungeru, AMB Dr. Ibrahim Umar Kontagora, PhD, warmly welcomes all management staff, academic and non-academic personnel, as well as students back to campus.

In his 1st June message, the Rector expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting everyone the opportunity to witness and celebrate another Eid-el-Kabir in peace, good health, and happiness. He urged members of the Polytechnic community to carry forward the lessons of sacrifice, obedience, patience, and unwavering faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

Dr. Kontagora emphasized that greatness is not achieved by chance but through dedication, discipline, hard work, and a commitment to excellence.

He encouraged staff and students to return with renewed energy, fresh ideas, and a stronger determination to contribute positively to the growth and development of the institution.

THE RECTOR'S JUMU'AH MESSAGE TO THE MUSLIM UMMAH.

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

Many people move through life carrying burdens that seem too heavy for the heart to bear. From one responsibility to another, from one worry to the next, the soul often becomes exhausted by the endless noise of the world. Yet, in His infinite mercy, Allah continuously calls us back to Him through Salah, not to distance us from life, but to heal us within it.

Prayer is not a burden upon the believer; it is a divine gift, a sacred moment where troubled hearts find rest and restless minds discover peace. While the world competes for our attention, Salah gently reminds us that true tranquility can only be found in the remembrance of Allah.

A few sincere moments before our Creator can restore strength that hours of worldly distraction can never provide.

Let us return to our prayers with renewed sincerity, humility, gratitude, and complete presence of heart. Let every Sujood become a place of comfort, every recitation a light for our souls, and every call to prayer a reminder that Allah is always near to those who remember Him.

May our prayers shape our character, strengthen our faith, and guide us toward lives filled with purpose, compassion, patience, and righteousness. No matter how difficult life becomes, the believer who remains connected to Allah through prayer will never be abandoned.

THE DIGITAL RECTOR, NIGER STATE POLYTECHNIC ZUNGERU, CALLS ON MUSLIMS UMMAH TO EMBRACE THE SPIRITUAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE DAY OF ARAFAT.

According to the Digital Rector, the Day of Arafat is one of the most sacred and rewarding days in the Islamic calendar, a day filled with mercy, forgiveness, and countless blessings from Almighty Allah. He urged Muslims to seize this golden opportunity to strengthen their faith, seek forgiveness for their sins, and pray for peace, unity, and progress in Nigeria.

Dr. Ibrahim Umar Kontagora emphasized the immense importance of fasting on the Day of Arafat, as it is a noble act highly rewarded by Allah. He noted that fasting on this blessed day serves as a means of spiritual purification, humility, and closeness to the Creator.

He encouraged Muslims to use the day to pray for their families, leaders, institutions, and the nation at large.
The Digital Rector further reminded the Muslim faithful that true sacrifice is not only about celebration but also about obedience, patience, compassion, and love for humanity. He called on everyone to extend kindness to the less privileged and continue to promote peace, tolerance, and mutual understanding among all people.

“May the blessings of the Day of Arafat bring divine mercy, abundant peace, and prosperity to our land. May Almighty Allah accept our prayers, fasting, and sacrifices,” he prayed.

NIGER STATE POLYTECHNIC, ZUNGERU MATRICULATES STUDENTS FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION.

The Digital Rector of Niger State Polytechnic, Zungeru, AMB Ibrahim Umar Kontagora, PhD, warmly welcomed all newly admitted students into the great institution on behalf of the management, Academic Board, staff, and students of the Polytechnic.

In his inspiring address, the Digital Rector described the matriculation ceremony as more than just a tradition, but a significant beginning of a journey toward greatness, innovation, and self development. He emphasized that Niger State Polytechnic remains committed to academic excellence, technical competence, entrepreneurship, discipline, innovation, and sound character development.

The representative of the farmer Governor, Umar Muhammad Bago, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Tertiary Education, Malam Siraj, commended the Digital Rector for his tremendous efforts in transforming the institution into a modern and progressive citadel of learning. He further assured the students that the farmer Governor remains deeply committed to students’ welfare and will soon release scholarship funds to support their academic pursuits.

He encouraged the newly matriculated students to remain law-abiding, focused, and dedicated to their studies, reminding them that education is the key to a brighter future and a better society.

In his closing remarks, the Digital Rector passionately advised students to stay away from River Kanwa and all riverbank areas around Madagi and Kanwa, stressing that the institution has placed a strict ban on such visits in order to safeguard lives. He also warned landlords against leasing rooms in unauthorized areas to students.

Speaking on security, the Digital Rector reassured students that both the institution and the government are working tirelessly to ensure adequate security and a peaceful learning environment for everyone at Niger State Polytechnic, Zungeru.

Indeed, the future is bright for Niger State Polytechnic under the visionary leadership of the Digital Rector. May this new academic session bring success, knowledge, and outstanding achievements to all students.
