Come with us to a meeting in Amsterdam with a former online s*x industry agency owner.

Over the years, we’ve met so many people who want to make a change. Former online s*x industry managers, victims, survivors, buyers, women who are still working in the s*x industry, you name it.

We’ve come to see that real change happens when we bring all views and experiences to the table.

No judgment for someone’s past. The heart they have now is what matters!

Listening to people with different views expands our own perspective. And think about it… the s*x industry is such a complex issue. Solving something like that will never be done through tunnel vision.

Grateful to be working with amazing people in both Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and the U.S.A.

What do you see?

I took this photo of the nails of a woman who dances in a strip club.

It was during the holidays, and they immediately caught my attention when we crossed paths in the dressing room.

Every time I look at this photo, I can’t help but see the child within her.

The glitter.
The Christmas colors.
The playfulness.
The desire to feel beautiful.
The longing to celebrate.

I never see a stripper.
I never see a pr******te.

I see a human being.
I see the little girl she once was.

Prachtig voorbeeld van de vrucht van jarenlange inzet.

“Ik wist niet of ik hen kon vertrouwen…”

Jarenlang zag ze ons tijdens het straatwerk. Soms ontstond er een kort gesprek aan het raam. Meer niet. Vertrouwen kost tijd, zeker als je al zoveel hebt meegemaakt.

Maar op de dag dat ze besloot te stoppen met werken, wist ze één ding zeker: Bright Fame moest ze bellen.

Vanaf dat moment hoefde ze het niet langer alleen te doen.

Samen brachten we haar situatie stap voor stap in kaart. We luisterden, dachten mee en zochten naar nieuwe mogelijkheden. Via ons netwerk vond ze een baan, waar ze een nieuwe start kon maken.

Haar verhaal laat zien waarom we al die jaren blijven terugkomen. Niet omdat iedereen meteen hulp wil, maar omdat er een moment kan komen waarop iemand wél klaar is voor verandering. Dan is het van onschatbare waarde dat er al een vertrouwd gezicht is.

Om de privacy van deze vrouw te beschermen zijn herkenbare details aangepast, maar haar verhaal is echt.

Soms begint een nieuw hoofdstuk met één telefoontje.

I Went From Reading It to Writing In It ⭐️

When I moved to the U.S., I had one thing on my mind: network.

In the Netherlands, I had built a strong network. Here, I had to start from scratch. There was a season when all I did was have coffees and lunches with people in the anti-trafficking field. Before long, I realized Central Florida has one of the strongest collaborative networks I’ve ever seen.

About three years later, we’ve worked alongside many of these organizations. Many I deeply respect. Some I now call friends.

Along the way, I attended many conferences and events across the country. At the Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Conference, people kept talking about “The Human Trafficking Book.” They called it the go-to resource on the issue, with chapters written by experts from across the field.

I remember holding the book, asking someone to take a photo of me with it (twice 😂), reading through the names of the contributors, and thinking, “Wow… this book is next level.”

Less than three years later, I received an email asking if I would co-write a chapter for the third edition…!

Grateful for every conversation, every connection, and every person who opened a door along the way!

It is an honor to contribute to a resource that has shaped so many in this field.

LINE 24 Update 💅 🚌

Since September 2025, we have been fundraising for the launch of LINE 24!

For those of you who don’t know what LINE 24 is, it’s our mobile outreach initiative that uses professional beauty services to bring relationship-based outreach directly to women in the s*x
industry.

Together, we have raised $82,773 and counting!

Last week, our team visited a van dealership as another exciting step toward bringing LINE 24 to life. Conversations with the project manager overseeing the build are in full swing, and with every meeting, the vision and strategy continue to take shape.

Why LINE 24?

Because meaningful relationships take time. Instead of only having a few minutes to connect, LINE 24 creates space to sit down, talk, listen, and build trust. That is the indispensable first step toward lasting change.

My mother is becoming a certified pedicurist. 😍

My mother has been a caregiver for most of her life. The way she cares for people until their very last breath, with motherly love, steadiness, and authenticity, is admirable.

My sisters and I often say, “If we become like Mom in this life, we’ve done very well.”

When she was my age, she reached out to women in prostitution too. Many years later, one of her daughters followed in her footsteps.

Together, we’ve dreamed so much about Stay With Me and what it could become. She has been one of the minds and driving forces behind shaping LINE 24, our mobile outreach initiative that uses professional beauty services to bring relationship based outreach directly to women in the s*x industry.

With a vision like that comes a thousand puzzle pieces. Then one day my mother called me and said, “What if I become a certified pedicurist?”
It was another piece falling perfectly into place.

So here’s a photo my dad took of her just before she hopped on her bike and headed to school.

Mom, you’re a champ. I can’t wait to see how this beautiful new skill will become part of the work we’re launching together. ❤️

Why are we sitting at the bar of a strip club?

Because effective outreach does not begin with offering help.

Interestingly, this is where many organizations begin, while effective outreach often arrives there much later.

At Stay With Me, we follow four phases of outreach: exploratory outreach, relational outreach, practical outreach, and referral outreach.

This photo is from an exploratory outreach visit for LINE 24, where we take time to learn, mingle, scout out the environment, and seek to understand. Because before people trust our support, they need to trust us.

Each phase of outreach requires different goals, strategies, and conversational techniques.

The challenge is not just understanding the phases. It's knowing when to move from one to the next.

• Some teams rush to referrals before trust has been established.
• Others remain in relational outreach long after opportunities for deeper support have emerged.

Recognizing where your team is, understanding what comes next, and knowing how to navigate those transitions is where Stay With Me Resources comes in.

The first six months of 2026 at Stay With Me.

Our first event of the year. These gatherings continue to be one of our favorite parts of Stay With Me. So much of what we do starts here before it makes it into a meeting room.

Attending events, panels, and strategic meetings with the Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force. Collaboration will always be the most powerful tool we have in this work.

LINE 24, all the way. Planning sessions and development meetings as we continue building what we believe will become a powerful new way of reaching women in the s*x industry.

What started as simply sharing what we’ve learned has grown into something we deeply love. Every training becomes richer, more practical, and more meaningful. We can’t wait to equip many more outreach teams in the years ahead.

Many hours spent in homemade offices working on the Stay With Me Working Group, LINE 24, partnerships, reports, and meetings. In Dutch, we say “ik heb vierkante ogen” (“I have square eyes”), meaning you’ve spent so many hours behind a laptop that your eyes have turned square. That’s probably a pretty accurate description.

All of it serves one purpose: helping women who want to leave the s*x industry do so successfully.

One thing we’ve learned over the years is that people rarely fit neatly into our categories.

One of the things I always say during Stay With Me trainings is that the s*x industry is not black and white.

There’s always another story. Another perspective.

And if we fail to understand that, we lose our impact very quickly.
