Balance isn’t a place you arrive at. It’s a rope you walk, gently, one step at a time.
Look at the figure in the middle: the sun on one side, the moon on the other, and nothing beneath him but his own attention. He doesn’t rush to find the perfect spot. He leans, steadies himself, and leans again. That small, patient correction is the whole art.
Life moves the same way. We swing between high and low, effort and rest, fire and water. For a long time most of us try to pick a side, to keep the light and push the dark away. But the swing was never the mistake. It’s simply how life breathes.
This is what the alchemists were reaching for. The story says lead into gold, but the lead was never really metal. It was the heavy parts of us: the tired body, the restless mind, the old wounds we carry without noticing. They were never meant to be thrown away. They were meant to be brought into balance, until what was dense could rise and begin to shine.
Yoga, Ta**ra and the old Taoist masters speak the same language in different words. Shiva and Shakti. Yin and yang. Inhale and exhale. When these opposites meet inside one body, they stop fighting, and life begins to flow with a little more ease.
That state has a name we already know. Love is what harmony feels like when two forces stop pulling apart and begin to move as one. It isn’t something to earn or defend. It only asks to be held, the way the walker holds the rope: lightly, patiently, and with an open heart.
Stay close to the center. Let yourself sway, and enjoy the dance. When you wobble, you’re already finding your way back, again and again ☯️
