We had the privilege of hosting a small event for our group participants, board members, and group facilitators. The theme of this event was 'Peace that Remains'. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ”
John 14:27 NKJV
At times, it seems hard to hold on to peace in a world so chaotic. The peace we receive from Jesus digs its roots into every aspect of our lives and we can draw from it when we need it most. It doesn't leave when grief, disappointment, and the cares of this life show up. It is steady and true. It is found in the warm embrace of close community, in the listening ears of someone giving their time, in the encouraging words of one with a sound mind, and in the Truth that you know that you know that you know.
