Aama means Mother in Nepali, and that’s exactly who she has always been to the Sapana Design family.
Her real name is Jamuna Pariyar, but everyone knows her simply as Aama because of the love, care, and guidance she shared with every team member.
After dedicating more than 10 years to Sapana Design, she left over seven years ago due to family responsibilities and health issues. Today, she returned to visit her former workplace. It was truly heartwarming to welcome her back, show her around, and introduce her to the new generation of our team. She was curious about our new products and especially surprised by the banana fiber basket. She kept asking how it is possible to make something like that from a banana stem. Yes, it is possible.
One question she asked touched our hearts:“Can I still make products from home and bring them to Sapana for sale?”
Our answer was simple: Of course, yes. ❤️
This is why Sapana Design exists—to empower women. It doesn’t matter whether you work in our workshop or from your own home. What matters is having the opportunity to create, earn, grow, and continue moving forward together.
Some people may leave the workplace, but they never leave our hearts.
