We are thrilled to introduce the newest member of our festival family - meet Gemma Ross, our new Arrowtown Autumn Festival Coordinator! 🍂✨

Many of you will already know Gemma’s friendly face around town. As a longtime local, she knows just how special this festival is to our community and how much heart goes into bringing it to life every April.

We’re so excited for the fresh energy, local knowledge, and passion she will bring to the role as we gear up for another unforgettable celebration in 2027.

Are you a master of logistics with a passion for community? We are looking for our next superstar Festival Coordinator to lead the charge for 2027!

The Arrowtown Autumn Festival is a cornerstone of our region’s calendar. We need an organized, high-energy individual who can balance the "big picture" vision with the "fine print" details. If you thrive on variety, from securing major sponsorships and navigating council consents to coordinating performers and managing social media, we want to hear from you.

You will be supported by a committee of dedicated volunteers. This committee meets monthly and provides governance and strategic guidance on all aspects of the Festival's operation.

The Ideal Candidate:

Community-oriented: You must have a passion for Arrowtown and community values.

Proven Event Experience: You’ve run the show before and know how to handle the pressure of live events.

Communication Ace: You can chat with sponsors, negotiate with a contractor, and lead a volunteer committee with equal ease.

Self-Starter: You are comfortable working independently from home.

Detail-Oriented: From the timing of a run sheet to the fine print of a council permit, you have a natural ability to manage complex moving parts without letting anything slip through the cracks.

Term: 12-month fixed term (Aug 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027).

Hours: Flexible, averaging 20 hours/week (peaking during festival season).

And an end to an INCREDIBLY successful 40th Arrowtown Autumn Festival, proudly sponsored by Mora Wines - thank you to everyone who showed up, donated, chipped in, everything.

Just wow Arrowtown 🍂 what a town, what a community!

Congratulations to The Waipiata Pie Co. for winning this year's Keith Crawford Award for Most Creative Pie, with their Rib'n'Cheek Pie, oooomg 🤤

Pure Tours Queenstown thinks they have the winning duck for today's duck race @ 12:30, but not if you have your say. 😉

You, too, can purchase a duck for $10 at the Buckingham Green between 10 - 12, but get in quick because they sell out fast!

Proceeds go to Arrowtown Rugby Club and is always a fan favourite. Come get a duck, or simply come and enjoy the race! 🐥
