Stand With Our Firefighters! 🧑‍🚒🚒

Our firefighters aren’t just fighting fires anymore, they’re first on the scene for medical emergencies, car crashes, chemical spills, and natural disasters. They run toward danger when the rest of us run away.

Right now, they’re having to fight another battle: for the resources they need to keep us safe.

The NZ Professional Firefighters Union members are on strike, and it’s not just about pay. It’s about:
➡️ Severe staffing shortages leaving stations under-manned and crews overworked.
➡️ Ageing and failing equipment—trucks that break down, gear that’s past its best.
➡️ A system that has not kept up

This isn’t a decision they’ve taken lightly. It’s a last resort after years of trying to fix a broken system.

When firefighters tell us they are stretched too thin and that public safety is at risk, we should listen.

Brian Tamaki, you and your hate-filled group failed yet again.

It’s clear this is a desperate cry for attention. Instead of unity, you choose to create division and mislead youth for your own gain. By disrupting a peaceful procession, you haven't just disrespected the Sikh community, you’ve disrespected the true mana of the Haka and the core Christian values of kindness and peace.

The people of Aotearoa see through these greedy intentions. We hope those currently misled by you will soon see the truth.
