Family Science Workshops Empowering parents and guardians to talk about science with their children through fun hands-on activities

Family Science Workshops is a government-funded project aimed at sharing science-based activities with the community, that they can also try together at home. We welcome feedback and suggestions about our past and future workshops. This project was made possible by the generosity of the Unlocking Curious Minds contestable Fund. This fund aims to enhance, or broaden, the connection and engagement o

f “harder to reach” New Zealanders, in particular young people (ages 18 years and younger), with science and technology.
