Vixie lives with her mother Kit, her father Rey, and her seven siblings at the edge of a forest. They are a busy family who enjoy spending time together, and while Vixie loves both her parents as much as they love her, sometimes the only parent that will do is her dad. One day Rey tells Vixie that he has to go away for a time and she is devastated, but Rey has a plan to help make the time apart easier for Vixie. A sweet and gentle story for children who are about to go through a separation, that will (hopefully) make the distance a little easier for them.

For most of her adult life Nell Masters has isolated herself from social relationships, a form of self-inflicted punishment for what she did when she was a young adult. Back then her name was Elle Nugent and she witnessed the abduction of a young woman named Bryony Sanders, who was later found murdered. Elle becomes obsessed with the case and the person she is certain killed Bryony, and the shocking aftermath led to her taking a new name and making a fresh start. But now Nell is starting to let people in, a small group of friends and a new partner named Alex. Nell is still guarded and wary, but Alex has been slowly breaking down her resistance and she is really starting to see a possible future with him. There may be no happy ending though, because Nell can feel someone watching her, following her, and she thinks she knows who he is – but how does she talk to Alex and her friends when they don’t even know her real name? Nell is in a race against time to figure out who the stalker is, because they have Nell in their sights and they aren’t coming to play – they’re coming to deal with Nell once and for all.

Service announcement: Mobile Library South and East

The regular mobile librarian is on leave for the upcoming school holidays so there will be a cover driver and librarian for the following dates:

❌There will be no mobile library service on Saturday 10 October

Normal mobile library services will start from Tuesday 13 October.

If you have items to return you can drop them back at any Auckland Libraries branch or hold on to them until we are back on the road.

She won’t eat carrots (because they’re for rabbits), or peas (because they’re too small and green), or loads of other vegetables. Lola is determined to avoid her veges, but Charlie has a cunning plan. Those orange things aren’t carrots, they’re orange twiglets from Jupiter. Those green things aren’t peas, they’re green drops from Greenland. Charlie’s cunning plan seems to be working, but can he get Lola to eat a tomato? For the next three weeks the Mobile Library South and East will be parking closer to Maraetai Beach School on a Wednesday morning so some of the students can visit the mobile library. The time will not change and will still be from 8.40am – 10.30am.

On paper Camille Bayliss and Aubrey Price have nothing in common and should never meet, but that all changes when Camille discovers Aubreys details in her husbands briefcase and goes to confront her. Aubrey and her husband are not having the affair Camille suspects, her husband is keeping track of Aubrey for a completely different reason. When Camille and Aubrey work together to provide Camille with an air tight alibi so she can dig into her husbands secrets she has no idea how dangerous their plans actually are. Aubrey wants to know what really happened the night her parents were killed by a drunk driver, but there are people who will do whatever it takes to keep the truth buried. On the surface Camille and Aubrey are working together, but they are both keeping secrets and if they’re not careful someone might get hurt.
