Every young person's story is different, so our support starts with listening. When a referral comes through, our Case Managers work alongside whānau to understand what's really getting in the way of regular attendance and build a plan that reflects each young person's strengths, goals, and circumstances.

Support looks different for everyone, whether that's practical help with transport or uniforms, connecting whānau with community resources, or simply being a consistent presence that reminds a young person they matter.

Our role is to remove barriers, strengthen connections, and create pathways that support engagement in education, because when young people feel supported and understood, they are better placed to thrive.

Before dawn, the stars of Matariki rise low in the sky, signalling the start of the new year.

Matariki is a time of reflection and remembrance, letting the year that’s passed settle amongst the stars.

It is a time to celebrate and give thanks for what we have and everything that has carried us through, and a time to set our hopes and aspirations for the year ahead.

At We Got You, we work alongside schools, students, and whānau to understand what’s sitting behind the absence and identify practical pathways forward.

Our goal is to turn concern into connection, so every student has the support they need to re-engage with learning. 💙

Imagine leaving everything behind to keep your family safe. 💔

This week our team helped families supported by Woven Earth move into homes where they can begin again after family violence. We moved furniture, set up rooms, and helped create a space where they could finally exhale.

It’s a reminder that behind every attendance challenge is a story we may not yet know.

Sometimes a fresh start begins with knowing someone cares.
