Is anyone interested in taking baby hedgehogs, I can teach everything and set you up, its a commitment but rewarding for sure and a unique experience. Handfeeding for a couple of weeks and then less work as they start to grow. Full disclosure tiny babies will potentially not be ready to go out before winter so prob the end of the year for them to be 800 grams and the weather to be allowing for a safe release

Feeding and caring for babies🦔

I need to amend what I said here about baby weights, as I was a bit out of touch with that, and now have a better idea having taken in about a dozen babies this year. A baby of 100g or more is fine without handfeeding.. and possibly fine without milk formula, but there is nothing wrong with offering it, you can have it in the same dish as food (very small amounts of food, slowly allow stomach to develop) or in separate dishes, or sprinkle the food to promote foraging from young age. Also provide water dish.
A baby under 100g may need hand feeding, and most definitely if it is 80g or less
