Yesterday Southern Cross Pet called me at 9am to tell us that Nancy was the Pawsies Dog of the Year!! They asked me to keep it under wraps until the public announcement at 11! That was a tad tricky as so many people were contacting me wanting to know.

At 10:20 Tim from the Otago Daily Times called and asked “have you heard the news?” My brain was “oh no. I can’t say anything” so I said “have YOU heard the news?” Tim said “yes, I know Nancys won!”Southern cross had called Tim to organise another interview. And they wanted Nancys photo by her billboard!

Unfortunately she had a rough recovery. Turns out she’s allergic to the suture material 😔
