Established in 1946, Woolyarns built its reputation as a premium woollen yarn spinner. In 1992, a collaboration between a New Zealand farmer and a woman from Whanganui sparked pioneering research into brushtail possum fibre.

Soon after, the yarn engineers at Woolyarns successfully spun Perino for the first time, marking an exciting new chapter in luxury fibre innovation.
