Welcoming Week is here! 🌏❤️

From 4–13 September, we’re celebrating Welcoming Week and inviting you to join us for activities where you can connect with others and celebrate together. 🌏❤️

🎨 Rock Painting – Monday 7 September, 2:30–4pm
Paint a flag or symbol of your home country on a rock.

☕ Diversi-Tea – Wednesday 9 September, 11am
Enjoy a cup of tea from around the world and learn about where different brews come from.

✂️ Welcoming Week Crafternoon – Friday 11 September, 3–5pm
Get creative and make a craft that welcomes all.

Come along, have a chat, get creative and meet others in our community. We’d love to see you there! ❤️

As you can see, we're still running Storytimes and having a blast clowning around! Come visit the library Fridays and Saturdays 11am every week for a fun-filled Storytime - next week may have a clown surprise 🤡

It's our final Throwback Thursday and we're highlighting our many years of Children Storytimes!

Shown below is a photo from the Hutt News in 1978, with the description: "The children's librarian at the Lower Hutt Library Lucy and her assistant Jane have been dressing up respectively as Harlequin and the clown and parading through the streets with a banner advertising children's holiday story sessions".
