I tērā wiki, i whai hōnore nui mātou Te Whānau o MUMA ki te haere hei ope kotahi ki Tūrangawaewae marae, kia tautoko ai i te Koroneihana Tuarua o Te Arikinui Kuini Nga wai hono i te po.

Our team, who travelled together from Tāmaki Makaurau, were proud to tautoko te kaupapa at Ngāruawāhia. This year was our first official Koroneihana as a whole MUMA team, and we hope for many more opportunities like this to come!

Tomorrow, Te Whānau o MUMA will be heading to Tūrangawaewae Marae for the second Coronation of Te Arikinui Kuini Nga wai hono i te po.

In previous years we have had only a handful of MUMA services be able to go to Ngāruawāhia to attend the event. This year marks the very first time that all of MUMA will go as a family unit! We’re all so excited to support the kaupapa and see everybody from around the motu there with us.

We are so grateful to have experienced the most ataahua sunny weather anyone could ask for🌻🔆. It was such a lovely time for MUMA RTT to be outside and remind ourselves to enjoy the little things in life - and what better way to do so than on a team bike trip around the neighbourhood 🚲!

A massive mihi to the Desire For Greatness whānau (D4G) for hosting MUMA Rangatahi Tū Tonu and inspiring our rangatahi to become leaders in their own journeys.

For week three of our Tū Tonu Resilience Programme, our taiohi were on a mission to find their rangatira within. 💪In the gym where respect and well-being are paramount, everyone had the opportunity to let loose and try new things in a safe, values-focused environment. ✨With the support of MUMA staff and the D4G family, our youths dove in with positivity, encouragement, and excitement.

For us, the best part of the day was seeing our rangatahi, at the end, gain the confidence to stand taller and hold their heads higher, both on and off the mats! 🏆

He mihi nui tēnei ki ngā kaiwhakahaere o D4G. Nā koutou e kōkiri ana te kaupapa me ngā wawata o te whakatauāki, "Stay Hungry"! With this newfound mindset, we'll keep reaching for greatness and strive to improve at every step through our Rangatahi Tū Tonu journey. Te kino kē!

Last week, our Rangatahi Tū Tonu programme took a trip to Te Pane o Mataoho in . The theme of the week focused on cultural identity, ecouranging these young minds to learn about the hītori of the maunga, its' whakapapa, and ask the big question of 'kōwai au?'.

Despite a bit of rain and cloud🌧 , the rōpu persevered and made it to the top, earning a view of Tāmaki Makaurau from a new perspective. It was an awesome chance to get out in the open and enjoy the moment 💪, and one that we will definitely like to do again one day.
