Today is World Environment Day 🌍. Our arty farty Lashana has put together a display. It has some great information on all the work our Parks and Reserves Team keep on top off and a great selection of books about pollution etc. Over in Te Matapihi, Petra and Minnie have also been busy little bees 🐝 and created a display. If you are passing Marton or Bulls Community Hubs. Pop on in and have a look.

As requested, please ensure that the top of your batteries are taped when dropping them off in the Battery Heaven's 😊

Just a friendly reminder, if you're bringing dead batteries 🪫 to one of our Battery Heaven's located at the Rangitīkei District Community Hubs and our waste transfer stations, makes sure they're like the one on the right (tape over the top).

Batteries can contain a residual charge that can lead to a fire 😬.

Preventing this is as simple as putting cellotape (or any non-conductive tape) over the terminal 😊
