Our first AI for charities course has been wonderful... so much so that we're doing it again!

AI for Charities is a 6-week practical course designed specifically for people who work in the charity sector. You'll go from beginner to having real, working tools that save you time every week — no technical background required. Each session is two hours, online, and designed to gradually build your skills and confidence.

The course covers the topics community organisations need to use AI responsibly: what AI actually is (and where it goes wrong), how to support governance decisions, safely connecting AI to your work, and how to build skills and workflows that run without you. By the end of the course, you'll have built organisational context and a suite of tools specific to your needs. You'll also have heard from community practitioners and experts, and you’ll have the opportunity to build, share and learn from each other.

More than 1000 people signed up for our first course - now we're inviting you to sign up for the second.

Congratulations Paul Southworth!

We have some exciting news to share! Paul Southworth won the Individual Category at the Keep Dunedin Beautiful Awards!

Through his vision and leadership, Paul established Aroha Kaikorai Valley to create a healthier, more sustainable future for the Kaikorai Catchment. His passion for the environment has inspired people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved, from local businesses and schools to backyard trappers, volunteers, and community clean-up crews.

Under Paul's guidance, AKV has helped restore native biodiversity through predator control, native planting, habitat restoration, and waterway protection. Thanks to these efforts, native birdlife is returning and the ecological health of the valley continues to improve.

More than anything, Paul has built a movement. He brings people together, motivates them to take action, and shows us that every contribution matters. His dedication, energy, and belief in the community are helping create a greener, healthier Kaikorai Valley for future generations.
