Applications for the Commemorating Waitangi Day Fund are now open. The fund supports events that celebrate local history, encourage community participation, and help New Zealanders learn more about the significance of Te Tiriti.

Reaching Out to the Community!

Are you looking for casual or on-call work?
If you are at home, not currently working full time, and would enjoy meeting people, this could be a great opportunity for you.

We are currently looking for:
• Village tour guides
• Wāhine for Kātanga who are able to support with pōwhiri

These are casual roles, with tour guide training provided.

On behalf of the Te Hana Te Ao Marama Team, we would like to express our gratitude to Dan Grant from Rodney Youth Project for leaving the Play Trailer with us for the day. It was a huge hit and everyone enjoyed the activities and fun provided.

We also want to thank all the stallholders for their unwavering support which made our day a success. Finally, we extend our thanks to the Te Hana kaimahi team for their invaluable help in putting this event together.

Let us remember that MATARIKI is a time to celebrate the present and look forward to the promise of a new year for all people worldwide.

Te Ha Oranga held their Matariki Day at Te Hana today we mihi to Kiri Horn for her hard mahi done. A big mihi to the team from Te Hana Emma, Lauren, Moe, Sandra you all rock.❤️❤️❤️🤩

Hare mai Whānau,
Electoral Commission are looking for people for paid work during the period of 26th October 2026 through to Election Day on 7th November 2026. You will also be available for days of training
The Kaimahi -including whānau /kaiako/rangatahi (min 16 years or older). Speaking a little Te reo would help.
Location for the voting period will be here at Te Hana Te Ao Marama.
There is also potential for kaimahi to work the 3 week period after the election at Election Headquarters.
