“Become a Beekeeper for a Day” at Earthbound is a hands-on experience allowing guests to dive into the fascinating world of beekeeping, guided by Karlene & Terry Shaw-Toomey. Hosted on their family bee farm in the serene Bethells Valley, this experience offers a blend of education and adventure, covering the basics of hive management, bee behavior, honey harvesting and sustainable beekeeping practices.

Participants will suit up in beekeeping gear, inspect the hives, learn about the lifecycle of bees, and witness hands on bee behaviour. The workshop will also feature tastings of Earthbound’s artisanal honey, a tour of the property, and insights into how bees contribute to the health of the local environment. Ending with a honey themed light lunch and a chance to take home honey or other bee-related products, it’s perfect for nature lovers or those curious about sustainability and beekeeping.
