Our Action Member, the honourable Jimmy Miringtoro, recently paid a surprise visit to Ruatai Primary School in Wakunai District. The students and staff warmly welcomed him during this special occasion. In his speech, the honourable member expressed his gratitude to the school and community for their kind reception. 19th of March marked a significant new day for the people of the Kurai-Kongara2 Road Project with the official groundbreaking ceremony. The launch was formally opened by the National Member, Honorable Jimmy Miringtoro. The road construction from Kurai to Bansikuna now officially begins. Joining him were three members of the ABG who witnessed this important event: South Nasioi Member Honorable Justin Borgia, Kongara Member Honorable Enersthly Peter Teduu, and North Nasioi Member and Minister for Lands Honorable Henry Potabu.

The National Member for Central Bougainville Hon: Jimmy Miringtoro expressed his gratitude for the collaborative efforts, highlighting the importance of accessible and quality healthcare for the people of bougainville. He emphasized that the new Level 7 hospital will provide advanced medical services, In his speech, he acknowledged that he thanks the Autonomous Bougainville Government (ABG) and his Excellency President Ismael Toroama, whose leadership has been instrumental in bringing this vision to the people of bougainville. The member reiterated his commitment to supporting the hospital's establishment and ensuring that it meets the needs of the people in Bougainville.

He also called on the community to come together in support of this initiative, recognizing that a health care is vital for the region's development and prosperity. Boira Primary School is an existing rundown school. It has been neglected for too long. Last year, Hon. Jimmy Miringtoro committed approximately K800, 000 plus to rebuild the school. Today, a ground breaking ceremony took place at Boira to build a 4 in 1 classroom plus a few teacher's houses. The event was witnessed by Hon. Henry Potabu, member for North Nasioi and also the Central DDA Chairman. In the absence of Hon. Jimmy Miringtoro, his Technical team and the Admin staff were there. It is good news to the Boira community because this will be the first of its kind.

We are pleased to announce the opening of the New Bovo Swing Bridge at Section 9 and Section 7 on 28 January 2026. The ceremony was officiated open by the National Member, Hon: Jimmy Miringtoro, Alongside the ABG Minister for Lands and Physical Planning, Hon: Henry Potabu. The event was witnessed by invited guests. The National honorable member said that bridge will help people to get access into town and out. The purpose of the funds presented is to boost the organization in terms of building more conducive facilities for those with much needed care.

Clarification on Member's School Fee Assistance Component

Please be informed that the School Fee Assistance Component from the Member's Office is only to lessen parents and students' burden in paying for the school fee. There is a certain percentage (%) that is paid to eligible students' tuition fee. You as a student with your parents, it is your sole responsibility to make any compulsory payment required by the Institution before registration.

Some parents are coming with the expectation that the Member will be paying for everything.

Please play your part so that you don't disadvantage yourself during registration.

We hope this message clarifies the confusion.

This notice serves to inform all Tertiary Students inside Wakunai District. A team from the National Member's Office will be visiting the District tomorrow. The purpose of this visit is to deliver School Fee Assistance Form for your convenience. Please come around at Wakunai Station to grab a copy.

The Member's Office wants to make sure that, a fair Assistance is given to the 3 District in Central Bougainville.
