To all our families, wunatarai, supporters, volunteers, sponsors, spiritual mentors, village folk, ward members, followers and fellow contestants in this year's (2022) National General Elections, Thank you for sharing the start of a long journey with us.
We began this journey with God and it will continue to be so. It is a faith journey. It is not defined by circumstances, events or time. It has no end except the end of the world. It started with God and will finish with God. We are all just part of it.
As such, I thank God for giving us this opportunity to experience this journey with Him. It is worth all the time, effort and resources. Praise God indeed!
I thank the people of Marmar ward and the Vunalama clan for the endorsement of my candidacy.
I thank all the people of the four LLG's and the ward members for inviting us to your communities - DOY Island, Bitapaka, Kokopo Vunamami and Raluana.
I thank all the volunteers who believed in us and supported us.
I thank all the supporters in Kokopo District, ENB, PNG and overseas who embraced our message of change.
I thank everyone who supported in cash, kind or otherwise towards this journey.
I thank all my families and friends for your love, support and prayers throughout this journey.
I thank you all for your advice, wisdom, questions, comments and responses to our message of change for Kokopo District. I took everything in (negative and positive) and it's a blessing I am not taking for granted. Great lessons learnt indeed!
You all demonstrated powerfully that change is possible when we come together for a common purpose driven by a desire to be better.
This journey has led to a movement for positive change in the lives of our children, youth, women men and people living with disabilities. I encourage us all to keep believing in change and to contribute to change every day - in ourselves, in our homes, our churches, our schools, our government and our communities. Together this change is possible!
So thank you very much everyone!
What's next for this journey?
Since this is a journey, we will continue to engage with you all through our ground and online activities. These will include the educational programs we have started, providing support to community development needs, capacity and empowerment programs and other activities that promote leadership for change and development.
We are working through the specific details of the activities which we will run under an NGO we have initiated in 2014 (LIFE Foundation Inc.) and will be keeping you informed as we move forward. We are open to ideas and collaboration and invite you all to join us in this ongoing journey for positive change.
Before I end, I congratulate and thank once again my 21 other fellow candidates for the decision to take up this constitutional right to stand for public office. I also want to take this time to congratulate our members elect for the province:
Michael. Marum - on being mandated as the Governor of East New Britain Province,
Graham. Piniau - as mandated leader for the people of Rabaul District,
Jelta. Wong - for your re-election as member for Gazelle,
Elias. Kapavore - for the trust our people of Pomio have in your outstanding leadership qualities shown in your re-election.
We now join the people of Kokopo District to congratulate our member elect for Kokopo District, Ereman ToBaining. Jr. We will support this leadership for the benefit of our district and province.
Once again, on behalf of our campaign team (ground and online) and our families we thank you all for your support during the start of this long journey. We pray that you will not lose hope in change and in your dreams for a better future for us all. We also pray that God will keep us in good health for His purpose in us in this world.
God bless you all, God bless Kokopo District, God bless ENB, God bless PNG.
Change is always possible! So don't just wish for it, make it happen!
