We have lost one of our friend, colleague and former fisheries PPA, late Mr. John Stek Joseph. He has accomplished a lot in his active years serving as a fisheries officer and contributed efforts in the fisheries industry in the province and nation. We are shocked of his sad news.

The project term of the Voco Point redevelopment will take approximately a year to complete, Demolition work has started and building will continue.

We have moved and located now at Gavman Haus second floor, Top Town. Due to redevelopment of our Voco Point Office by National Fisheries Authority(NFA).

The District Fisheries consultative meeting took place at the Wawin Resource Center from the 26th to 28th January 2021. It started well and ended on a high note. The Districts that presented their 2020 activity plan and reports were;
1. Bulolo
2. Markham
3. Kabwum
4. Tewai Siasi
5. Finschaffen
6. Nawaeb
7. Huon
8. Menyamya - no presentation
9. Lae - no presentation

Our special guest officers from Human Resources, Commerce and Policy Planning divisions gave presentations based on important forms, processes and information crucial to perform active duties against given budget and time for fisheries development in the province. The meeting was a success and hope the next one will be an even greater experience and success.
