The Hon. Governor Wai Rapa is behind and pushing forward to producing quality and talented rugby players in Western Highlands. Mr. Wai will hosting Governor's cup in all centres of Western Highlands every year supporting National government for NRL BID 2028. This will give more opportunity to exposing young talented rugby players and open the doors for them. The Sports is another sleeping giant tool which can decreases the rate of social issues in the province. The Western Highlands Provincial Government under the leadership of Hon. Governor Wai Rapa is aming and targeting youths to get involved in all sports programs that will be in place in the province to stop them for taking drugs, firewara, rascals activities etc. The young ones have their talents and skills. Mr. Wai is now opening doors for youths in Western Highlands to take in all Sports Programs and Education.

1: Education sectors
2: Law and Order
3: Infrastructure Developments
4: Rural Eletricfication
5: Agricultre
6: Youth Empowerment
And many more. The Western Highlands Provincial Government is easily moving forward for the good of people of Western Highlands and Province. The province of Western Highlands don't have any mineral resources but all depends on National Government's budget.

I am making this call due to Fundings, Preparations and the most important thing is National Census is yet complete. The ward councilors and LLG presidents are very important people who are always with people and they play important role. We can't rush and conduct LLG election while National Census is to complete and Fundings are not in place..

On behalf of Western Highlands Provincial Government under the leadership of Hon. Wai Rapa, would like to thank you all the following participants of today's special Repentance Day lotu here at Queens Park.
1: Hon. Jason Peter, MP of Huon Gulf and Minister for Community development and Region.
2: Hon. Pila Niningi, MP of Imbongu electorate and Minister for Justice and Anthony General.
3: Hon. Wai Rapa, Governor of Western Highlands Province.
4: Papua New Guinea Church Council General Secratary.
5: Community Development and Religion Department Secratary and senior staff.
6: All reverends, Evengalists, Elders and Pastors of all denominations from all Highlands Provinces.
7: Businesses houses, Private Sectors in Western Highlands Province.
8: All the leaders in the Communities, districts and provinces of Highlands region.
9: All the faithful Christian members of all denominations in the Highlands region.
Also not forgetting the apology message from Hon. Prime Minister James Marape and four local MPs of Western Highlands that couldn't attend because of their busy schedules.

The Governor of Western Highlands Hon. Wai Rapa said, " he is ready to work with church leaders in the province during his final remarks. Hon. Wai Rapa dedicated the first floor of Sir Mara Haus to use for any Church business like meetings etc starting today. He also urged the people of Western Highlands to change their mindsets for the good of our communities, districts and province. Hon. Wai said, the people of Western Highlands is ready to take the lead for change in all sectors. Also he urged leaders of Enga, Southern Highlands, Hela and Jiwaka to work closely with people for change. Mr. Wai said, we are mandated by people to lead them to right direction and show by an example for the good of our people.

Finally, Mr. Wai Rapa called all Upper Highlands people to change their mindsets of tribal fights.

Thank you Lands and Physical Planning Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Hon. John Rosso for approval to re-establish the Western Highlands Provincial Physical Planning Board. Since its defunct for some couple of years, the Western Highlands Provincial Physics Planning is in place with its new Board under the good leadership of Governor Hon. Wai Rapa with the great support of State Own Enterprise Minister Hon. William Duma. The event successfully ended with signing of MoU with National Physical Planning team and swearing in of Provincial Physical Planning Board.

Together we can make great change for our societies, districts and province. It's time to get into real business for the good of people of Western Highlands and Upper Highlanders.

Good morning people of Western Highlands and far and wide. Today is the opening of Mt Hagen 57th Cultural Show at Queens Park. The Office of the Governor Hon. Wai Rapa would like to once again appeal to the people of Western Highlands especially youths to respect the Show attendants. We will have Tourists from different countries, Businesses houses, Sponsors, Governments representatives and people of all levels. Please respect their rights. Let them move freely from one place to another. Show them Love, Kindness and Respect. Let us all work together to make this show become one of the remarkable event.

As always, Governor Hon. Wai Rapa and security personnels will always be around monitoring and making sure that we will have this event successfully without any bad news. Let us show who we are by our Cultural heritages. The country Papua New Guinea is the only country in the world blessed with diverse Cultures and languages. Let us all hold our hands together to promote our cultures and maintain it with Peace, Love and Joy so that our children will adopt to that in the years to come.

As Hon. Governor Wai Rapa who's always around in the province, the law and order issues in the province is one of the priorities under his leadership. The Mt Hagen city and the Western Highlands Province is the face of Highlands region in business, social activities etc. Therefore, alarming law and order issues in the province must closely monitored by with great help of our four MPs in Western Highlands Hon. Minister William Duma, Hon. Minister Win Daki, Hon. Jacob Maki and Dei district still vacant after the death of late Steven Pim.

Law and order is a great threat to our socitites, districts, provinces and country. The factor of it is growing population of youths and unemployment in our country. It is the great challenge to leaders in this country. It is leader's prime responsibility in the country now. Many times leader's physical presence in the districts and provinces is what people wanted the most.
