There has so much preachings and celebrations about SME especially in the NCD. The two of the three Electorates namely Moresby North East and Moresby South headed by their MPs and DDAs have been on high time luring our mothers and sisters (women) to establish and incorporate Associations in order to qualify for Government support Funding.

Launching after launching of women association in every settlement and surburd in the electorate. The associations were forced to pay fees and meet other miscellaneous charges, instead of DDA should facilitate as mobilisation funds.

This saw Government's Commitment totalling K7m late last year 2020. Of this, K2m was announced by MNE MP to be from MNE DSIP. To date, we have not received any updates from MNE DDA on disbursement of the SME funds and on what criteria applied and which and how many women folks through their Associations have benefited.

It has come to the attentions of the husband's, fathers and sons that our mothers and sisters are complaining that they are still waiting for the promised SME funds by MNE DDA. It signals that the SME funds have never been expanded to date.

However, if expanded then we kindly request the MNE DDA and MP John Kaupa to publish the full expended and progress report on on the SME funds for public consumption.

The page is purposely created for public use especially for the benefit of about 300,000 plus residence of the Moresby North East Electorate or constituency in the National Capital District.

Since, District Support Improvement Program (DSIP) was introduced by the Somare Government in 2007 with a Million kina to each District and later increase to K10m in the 2012 by the successive Government, there is nothing evidence of any tangible development to show in the MNE Electorate. this for the last 3terms of Parliament (15years). We need to know where these Funds have gone to and who squandered to benefit oneself and it's cronies.

Before come 2022 NGE and into the future Governments let's investigate where are our Million kinas of DSIP and Development Grants went to. That's you taxes money, it's for public benefit, and you have the right to benefit and know.

You have all the rights and freedom of expression under the Constitution of this Land, but that constitutional rights must be exercise and express with respect and responsibly not to deprive and deny rights of another fellow citizen.
