Citizens must start participating in politics.

Under the District Development Authority Act 2014:
• DDA Board meetings are open to the public.
• Quarterly and annual reports must be available for inspection , free of charge.
• Budgets and projects are public information, not secrets.

These are powerful tools for ordinary Papua New Guineans, but they only work if we educate our people to use them.

If we want better governance, we cannot sit back and complain.

We must show up. We must participate. We must ask questions.

Start encouraging your families, churches, youth groups, and communities to:
• Attend DDA meetings
• Inspect reports
• Ask hard questions, and
• Demand accountability
