Our Honorable Member for Atolls Amanda Masono, was sworn in as one of the care taker BEC members until the full cabinet is appointed on 10th of October 2025.

Member elect for South Women's Researved seat has been declared 🎉🙏

Rose Pihei Wins South Bougainville Womens

Rose Pihei has been officially declared the winner of the Women’s Reserved Seat for South Bougainville.

The result came after the second exclusion count on Tuesday night at the Mamaro Count Centre.

Pihei gained 5,297 votes, bringing her total to 23,175, well above the absolute majority of 21,161.

Her closest rival, Carmelitha Momoi, received 6,586 votes, finishing with a total of 19,145 votes.

A total of 11,883 votes were distributed in this exclusion, with only 19 ballots exhausted. The total number of ballot papers remaining was 42,320.

Rose Pihei was officially declared the winner at 10:00 PM local time at the Mamaro Count Centre.

This declaration concludes counting for all South Bougainville seats, including the single-member constituency and the regional seats for former combatants and women.
