I. Fakta - Fakta.

Pada tanggal 29 Juni 2022 sekitar pukul 15.30 WIT, di Distrik Kiwirok, Kabupaten Pegunungan Bintang telah terjadi kontak tembak antara Satgas Kodim Yonif PR 431/SSP Pos Kiwirok dengan KST Ngalum Kupel pimpinan Lamek Alepki Taplo (Pangkodap XV Ngalum Kupel) yang mengakibatkan 1 (satu) personel a.n
Nama : Prada Beryl Kholif Al Rohman
NRP : 31190152990598
Jabatan : Tabakpan.1 Pok.1/Ru.1/III/Kipan A Yonif PR 431/SSP) meninggal dunia terkena tembakan dipaha sehingga kehabisan darah.

b. Untuk saat ini masih berlangsung kontak tembak.

c. Bahwa terkendalanya jaringan di Distrik Kiwirok sehingga mengakibatkan perlambatan dalam melakukan koordinasi.

Mass demonstrations took place in against Indonesia’s Special Autonomy Laws and its plans to divide West Papua into 4 new provinces. On 3rd June 2022, 44 protestors were arrested in West Papua and 25 were injured. Ten high school students were arrested for painting their uniforms with a Morning Star motif. This week, an extra 450 troops from Java were deployed to West Papua.

The FWCC condemns the ever increasing militarisation of West Papua, the continued use of force by Indonesia against peaceful protestors and arrests including the harassment of activists. We call for respect for human rights in West Papua. We stand in solidarity with the people of West Papua in their struggle for independence.
