Flood hits Kandep second time within this year 2026. The last time flood hitted was on late December and early January. It affected Mindmind, Kasu, Momondai, Kambia, Pura along Mariant valley in Kandep, Enga province.

It destroyed and;
1. washed away the foot bridges and cutting off communities
2. Homes damaged or washed away, leaving families displaced
3. Food gardens and crops destroyed, leading to food shortages
4. Contaminated water sources, increasing risk of diseases
5. Schools disrupted, affecting students’ learning
Loss of income and economic hardship for families
6. Environmental damage such as soil erosion and landslides
7. Washed and carried away all belongings inside the haus by the flood.

People are suffering of starvation.
