Avinun olgeta, TDSFAP funding has been approved in the recent TDDA meeting. That means the team now will communicate with schools to confirm list of registered applicants and start issue assistance around March or April.
The amount allocated for TDSFAP by TDDA board will be disclosed in a media conference soon over the week..

Goodnight intellects of Telefomim District.

This is a notice to advise you all that the Telefomin District DDA will have its first DDA meeting this Friday 3rd Feburary 2023.

One of the Agendas of the DDA meeting would be the TDDA school fee assistance scheme. From there we will know the funding allocation but before that is done it is incumbent upon us to ensure that all Tertiary students in the district have fully complied through by way of submitting your applications.

The application has closed as of 31 January and we won't be paying too much attention on new applications as we will now progress into budget allocation, logistics planning, school coordination, Confirmation and fee assistance delivery.
However, late applicants can still send in their applications.

Special considerations will be given to students who are accepted late into any institutions in the country upon sighting of your acceptance letter, and with confirmation that student is actually registered.

We have been making public announcements and campaign using this forum and other avenues starting in October of 2022 and have collected applications of students close to 350+ so if you missed out that will not be our responsibility as you have been given 5 months to prepare your documents and apply through the process like all other students.

We hope all students are captured in this program with no student missing out.

More on, all list will be sent to each student groups and not in this group.

Update 20112022
Hi Telefomin District, Here is an update on the school fees assistance program initiated by the Telefomin MP and Minister for works and Highways Hon Solan Mirisim since being elected in to parliament. This year, he is keen on delivering the fees assistance scheme in a more organized and transparent manner.
So far we have developed the new strategy well and is progressing well.

Pictures attached shows glimps of what's happening in the background.
We have collected 191 names. Of the 191, only 62 have formally applied for assistance. Also the list of students who formally applied are shown. On the last attached picture, here you will find the students form Telefomin in each province around the country with their schools. This information will not only be used for TDSFAP but other works like social mapping, education survey, and etc..

Students are strongly encouraged to apply for TDSFAP as it's a requirement to qualify for assistance program.

List of students who formally applied Namea 2, Oksapmin 13, Telefomin 16, Yapsie 1. Total of 32 students applied already. I have names of other 100plus students but they will Need to apply to appear in this list.

Some students are sending in applications without the filled application forms. It's very frustrating for learned tertiary students not to follow simple instructions.

All your supporting documents must come with the filled application forms. If you don't do that, your name will not be entered in the fees assistance database and you will not receive any assistance at all. That is how serious it is when you don't listen and follow.

The application form is the part that makes short listing easier too.

Anybody who sends application without the form after this message will not be notified and will miss out on any assistance.

Update #06112022

Hi all,

On this update, here is what we have so far will the number of names collected and schools. We have listed the schools accordingly to tier1,2 and 3.
Tier 1 schools are universities
Tier2 schools are colleges
And tier 3 are other small schools

Data is categorized in each LLGs so that we know which LLG has the highest and lowest in each schools. Also to help us secure enough budget for Telefomin District School Fees Assistance .

Unlike before, everything will be posted online for transparency and accountability. Also for proper documentation and reports.
