Today, the office is hosting the CEPA Technical Working Group (TWG) meetings on Trade in Services and Economic Development Cooperation.
The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) is an important bilateral framework aimed at strengthening economic and trade relations, promoting investment opportunities, enhancing cooperation, and creating long-term economic benefits for Papua New Guinea and its partner economies.
The Technical Working Groups serve as key consultation and coordination platforms where government agencies and stakeholders discuss technical matters, policy priorities, implementation strategies, and areas for cooperation under CEPA.

The Trade in Services Working Group focuses on service sectors that contribute significantly to economic growth and employment. The objective is to improve market access, strengthen the competitiveness of local service providers, encourage investment, and create new opportunities for businesses and professionals within the services sector.
