Smart Mentorship program continues with Urban Youth Employment Project Phase II ๐Ÿ’ก

Our Co-Founder Mr. Noel Vere was honored to spend time speaking with youths participating under the Urban Youth Employment Project Phase II - UYEP II ๐Ÿค.

During the session, he spoke about the importance of discipline and staying focused in life, reminding the youths that success in any field starts with self-control, consistency, and the decisions we make every day.

He also shared on the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people. The people you spend time with can either help you grow or pull you away from your goals, so choosing the right circle matters ๐Ÿ‘ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

Another important message shared was self-belief. Mr. Vere encouraged the youths to back themselves, speak positively about their future, and never look down on where they come from ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ฏ.

He further encouraged the youths to make full use of the opportunity presented through UYEP, while also reminding them about the importance of becoming self-sustainable and building something positive for themselves and their families ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’ผ.

The session was well received by the youths and we sincerely thank the Urban Youth Employment Project Phase II for the opportunity to connect, encourage, and share with the young people of our communities.

Another round of inspiring dreams through Rugby League ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ๐ŸŽซ

Our Co-Founder, Mr. Noel Vere , met with youths today to distribute tickets sponsored by Newmont Papua New Guinea.

We recognised the youths in Downtown who are involved in informal sector trading, working hard every day to make ends meet.

Mr. Vere also thanked the MBB Marlins Club ๐Ÿ‰ of CRU for selecting their junior division boys to take part in our Hunters home game ticket program.

This opportunity allows these youths to witness the level of hard work and commitment required to perform in a high-performance arena and to understand the importance of putting in the effort to reach that level, whether in sports or in life.

Smart Mentorship program ๐Ÿ’ก

Our Co-Founder, Mr Mozart Kaiulo was invited to join the Caritas College 2nd year Debate session as a guest speaker.

Mr. Kaiulo thanked the College on the invitation and further stated that Caritas College produces top students that transition well from school to work places because of the practicality of their courses.

Mr. Kaiulo encouraged and gave some debating tips on how to prepare, what to prepare on and how to deliver when getting ready to debate ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ

Featured in todayโ€™s Post Courier ๐Ÿ“ฐ

Proud to be working with Newmont Papua New Guinea. Through this partnership, we are using Rugby League to bring in more women and girls to be part of something, to grow in confidence, and to feel included.

This is what Trupla Meri Trupla Man looks like in action. Equal respect. Equal opportunity.

It also links straight into PNG Vision 2050 - building our people and our communities and also UN SDG 11 on stronger, safer communities.

SMART MENTORSHIP ๐ŸŒŸ

Meet Brendan Ling from New Ireland and Oro. Brendan graduated from ITI with a Diploma in Accounting ๐ŸŽ“ a young man full of potential and purpose.

But his journey wasnโ€™t always easy.

There was a time he struggled to stay focused to keep his head in the right place. Like many youths, he faced real challenges. But through the Streetsmart Mentorship Program, Brendan found direction.

๐Ÿ“„ We helped him build a strong CV
โœ๏ธ Guided him to write proper job applications
๐Ÿ’ฌ And most importantly we helped him believe in himself again.

That confidence changed everything.

Today, Brendan is employed with MiBank ๐Ÿ’ผ, working in the Centralized Processing Unit- handling salaries and loan deductions.

Heโ€™s sharp, hardworking, and always ready to learn and that is real responsibility and real growth.

Brendanโ€™s story is a reminder: Sometimes all it takes is guidance, structure, and the right support to change a life.๐Ÿ”ฅ

This is what Streetsmart is about. Changing lives. One youth at a time.

Easter reminds us that no matter where you come from or what youโ€™ve been through, there is always a chance to rise, reset, and move forward.

At Streetsmart Initiative, we see this every day through sport. ๐Ÿ‰โšฝ๐Ÿ

On the field, young people are not just playing sports, they are learning discipline, respect, and how to carry themselves with purpose. They are learning that setbacks donโ€™t define you, but how you respond does. Thatโ€™s the spirit of Easter.

Itโ€™s about sacrifice, growth, and new beginnings. And in our communities, that new beginning often starts with something as simple as showing up to training, listening, and choosing a better path. ๐Ÿ“ˆ

We believe sport is more than a game, itโ€™s a tool to shape character, build leaders, and strengthen our communities. This Easter, letโ€™s continue to guide, uplift, and invest in our young people. Because when we build better individuals, we build stronger communities. ๐Ÿ’ชโ›“๏ธ

Happy Easter from all of us at Streetsmart Initiative. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ
