*Governor H.E. Maj. Gen. Sharif Daniel Sharif has issued State Order No. 60/2026, appointing the Executive Body of the Western Bahr el Ghazal State Investment Authority* .

The appointments are as follows:

Mr. Ahmed Musa Dehia – Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Michael James Akol – Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Mr. James Charles Ugoro – Secretary of the Investment Authority

Mrs. Nargis Joseph Mbimbi – Director of Administration & Finance

Mr. Jacob Elia Suleiman Uhuru – Deputy Director of Administration & Finance

Mrs. Lula Rabeh – Director of Public Relations

Mr. Clement Anthony Telasfur – Director of Registration & Evaluation

Mrs. Adella Aldo Udo – Director of Information, Publications and Mass Media Unit

Mr. Joseph Manut Manyuat Longar – Investment Officer

The order, dated 14 July 2026, takes immediate effect upon signature, with the State Ministries of Labour, Public Service & Human Resource Development and Finance, Planning & Investment tasked with its implementation.

Congratulations Message

On the occasion of the glorious anniversary of the independence of the Republic of South Sudan on the 9th of July, the Governor of Western Bahr El Ghazal State, General Sherif Daniel, on behalf of the State Government and its citizens, extends his highest congratulations and greetings to His Excellency the President of the Republic, First Lieutenant General Salva Kiir Mayardit, to the honorable deputies, to the members of the Transitional National Unity Government, and to all the masses of the people of South Sudan.

On this historic day, we proudly remember the sacrifices of the martyrs and freedom fighters who gave their lives and their sweat so that the flag of our nation could rise high in the sky of freedom and dignity.

Glory and immortality to the martyrs, for they died so that the nation may live. May South Sudan continue to enjoy security, stability, unity, and prosperity, year after year.

🌉 Unity Bridge Inaugurated in Wau

Yesterday, H.E. Maj. Gen. Sherif Daniel Sherif, Governor of Western Bahr El Ghazal State, officially opened the Unity Bridge in Wau.

This vital infrastructure connects the southwest and northwest parts of Wau, facilitating the movement of people and goods, and boosting economic development across the area. It is a significant step toward uniting our communities and bridging the distance between the people of our great State.

During the opening ceremony, the local community presented His Excellency with a traditional chair as a token of appreciation and affection. The Governor expressed his profound gratitude for this thoughtful gesture, emphasizing that such acts of kindness reflect the strong bond of unity and cooperation between the leadership and the people.

May this bridge bring blessings and prosperity to the people of Wau, and may our collective efforts continue to build our beloved State.
