On July 28, 2026 a Pre-Construction Conference for the Grain Silo Project was conducted at the Alamada Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AMPC) Function Hall. The activity brought together key stakeholders to discuss the project’s scope, technical requirements, implementation arrangements, and the respective roles and responsibilities of the concerned offices and project recipient prior to the commencement of construction.
The conference was attended by representatives from the Department of Agriculture–Regional Field Office XII (DA-RFO XII), through the Regional Agricultural Engineering Division (RAED XII), namely Engr. Reymart E. Bugahod, Engineer II and Project Engineer, and Engr. Muhammad Darwish Binumbaran, Engineer I and Project Designer. Also present were representatives from the Local Government Unit of Alamada, including Hon. Victor S. Sacdalan, Municipal Vice Mayor, Engr. Rolando A. Erese, ABE, Municipal Agriculturist, and the staff of the Municipal Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Office (MABEO).
Representing the project recipient was Dr. Fe Marigsa-Odrunia, DMD, Chairperson of the Alamada Multi-Purpose Cooperative, together with the members of the Board of Directors and officers of AMPC.
The conference served as an important venue for discussing and clarifying the project requirements, construction activities, implementation schedule, and the responsibilities of the concerned stakeholders. It also provided an opportunity to address possible concerns and establish proper coordination among the implementing agency, the Local Government Unit, and the project recipient before the start of construction.
The activity was conducted to promote transparency, strengthen coordination, and ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of their respective roles and responsibilities. Through proper planning and collaboration, the conference aims to facilitate the smooth, timely, and efficient implementation of the Grain Silo Project while ensuring that the construction will be carried out in accordance with the approved plans, technical specifications, and applicable standards.
Once completed, the Grain Silo is expected to provide AMPC with an improved and organized facility for the storage and handling of corn and other agricultural commodities. The project is anticipated to help minimize post-harvest losses, maintain the quality of stored produce, improve inventory management, and strengthen the cooperative’s capacity to support its member-farmers and the agricultural sector of Alamada.
