DepED SDO LIGAO PINASINAYAAN ANG BUWAN NG WIKANG PAMBANSA, BUWAN NG KASAYSAYAN, BUWAN NG ASEAN 2026

Pinasinayaan ng DepED SDO Ligao ang tatlong mahalagang gawain sa buwan ng Agosto sa unang Lunes ng buwan kasabay ng seremonya ng pagtataas ng watawat nitong Agosto 3.

Ang tatlong gawain ay bilang pagtalima sa Proklamasyon Blg 1041, s.1997; Proklamasyon Blg. 339, s. 2012; at Proklamasyon Blg. 282, s. 2017 na nagtatakda sa buwan ng Agosto bilang
Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa, Buwan ng Kasaysayan, at Buwan ng ASEAN.

Nakasentro ngayong taon ang tema ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa sa “Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon,” samantalang ang Buwan ng Kasaysayan ay may temang “Hinubog ng Bayan, Dinuyan ng Alon;” at ang Buwan ng ASEAN sa tema nitong “Navigating our Future, Together.”

Kasabay ng pagtataas ng watawat, binigkas ng mga kawani ng tanggapan ang panalangin na nasa Filipino, mga panunumpa, halagahang tuon sa linggo, at paliwanag sa mga tema.
Itinampok din sa gawain ang pagpili ng natatanging kasuotang ASEAN (panlaki at pambabae), batay sa kaangkuan nito at tamang pagdala, kung saan kinilala sina Marvi Prianes ng Akawnting, at Angelo C. Quintan ng SGOD.

Sa panghikayat na mensahe ng Tagapamanihilang Pansangay na si Nympha D. Guemo, sinabi niyang napapanahon ang tema ng tatlong pagdiriwang at may ugnayan ang mga ito sa isa’t isa.
“Sa panahon ngayon, hindi maikukubli ang gamit ng Artificial Intelligence bilang bahagi ng pag-unlad na kailangang yakapin ng mga kawani. Ang alon ang siyang nagdadala sa kultura at pagbabago at nararapat lamang na tayo ay sumabay at magkaisa bilang mga tagapagpatupad ng mga programang pang-edukasyon,” dagdag pa niya.

Samantala, sabay-sabay din ang mga paaralan ng Sangay sa pagsasagawa ng pasinaya ng Gawain sa kani-kanilang paaralan alinsunod sa Memorandum Pansangay Blg. 0365, s. 2026.

LIGAO CITY, ALBAY – In its continuing commitment to improve literacy outcomes among early grade learners, the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Ligao City successfully conducted two major division-wide workshops aimed at developing high-quality, contextualized, and curriculum-responsive literacy resources for remediation and classroom instruction.
The Division Writeshop on the Development of Supplementary and Contextualized Early Grades Materials and Other Literacy Resources, conducted from May 4–8, 2026, at Bernese Resort, Paulog, Ligao City, was implemented pursuant to Division Memorandum No. 162, s. 2026. The activity gathered selected master teachers and classroom teachers who collaboratively developed supplementary reading materials designed to strengthen foundational literacy skills among Grade 1 to Grade 10 learners.
Building on the outputs of the initial writeshop, the Division Workshop on the Refinement and Quality Assurance of the Developed Supplementary and Contextualized Early Grades Materials and Other Literacy Resources for Remediation Activities was subsequently conducted on May 18–19, 2026, also at Bernese Resort, Paulog, Ligao City, by virtue of Division Memorandum No. 175, s. 2026. The workshop focused on the rigorous review, validation, enhancement, and quality assurance of the developed learning resources to ensure alignment with the Revised K to 10 Curriculum, adherence to Learning Resource standards, contextual relevance, instructional quality, inclusivity, and suitability for classroom implementation.
The initiative was spearheaded by Education Program Supervisor in English, Maria Grecia Renolayan, in close partnership with the Learning Resource Management Section (LRMS) led by Education Program Supervisor Rommel Carl R. Peralta. The collaboration exemplified the Division's integrated approach in ensuring that curriculum development and learning resource management work hand in hand to produce quality-assured instructional materials that effectively address learners' literacy needs.

Ligao City, Albay – The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Ligao City, through the Curriculum Implementation Division – Learning Resource Management Section (CID-LRMS), successfully conducted the Division Online Orientation on the Learning Resource Management Information System (LRMIS) for School Heads and Administrative Officers on July 14, 2026.
The orientation gathered school heads and administrative officers from all public elementary and secondary schools in the division to strengthen their understanding of the Learning Resource Management Information System (LRMIS)—the national inventory system introduced by the Bureau of Learning Resources (BLR) for managing the inventory of textbooks and other supplementary learning resources in schools.

NGCP shares learning kits thru Gamit ni Bulilit Program

July 13, 2026 — SDO Ligao City in partnership with the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), through its Gamit ni Bulilit Program, formally turned over learning kits to beneficiary schools during a ceremony held on July 13, 2026 at Pinit Elementary School.

The program's primary recipients were Batang Elementary School and Pinit Elementary School, which received learning kits intended to assist pupils in their academic activities and enhance their learning experience.

The turn-over ceremony was led by SDS Nympha D. Guemo, Jessica Calinog, NGCP representative, SEPS Jhaebie Obleada and EPS II Mary Ann Registrado of the SDO-SGOD Social Mobilization Unit, and the school community.

Aside from the two main beneficiary schools, NGCP also extended assistance to several other schools within the area. The additional recipients and the number of learning kits distributed were:

Balanac Elementary School – 29 learning kits
Macalidong Elementary School – 44 learning kits
Quiasa Extension School – 15 learning kits
Sta. Cruz Elementary School – 35 learning kits
Tandarura Elementary School – 42 learning kits
Tobgon Elementary School – 39 learning kits
Culliat Elementary School – 46 learning kits

The turnover ceremony highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts between the education sector and private stakeholders in addressing the needs of learners. Through the Gamit ni Bulilit Program, NGCP continues to contribute to initiatives that support educational development and provide essential learning materials to schools and communities.

SDO Ligao City, school officials and stakeholders expressed their appreciation to NGCP for its continued support, noting that the learning kits will help equip pupils with the necessary tools for their studies and encourage greater participation in classroom learning.
