SUSPENSION OF CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES
The City Government of Legazpi, through the Office of the City Mayor, hereby announces the suspension of classes in all levels in both public and private schools and universities within the City of Legazpi on:

The suspension is being implemented as a preventive health measure in response to the increasing number of dengue cases in the city, with the aim of mitigating the spread of the disease and safeguarding the health and welfare of our students, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and the entire school community.
All concerned schools and educational institutions are advised to observe the suspension and make the necessary arrangements to ensure the continuity of learning through appropriate alternative learning activities, as applicable.
Parents and guardians are likewise encouraged to keep children safe at home, maintain a clean and mosquito-free environment, and remain vigilant for signs and symptoms of dengue. Seek immediate medical attention when necessary.
The City Government of Legazpi continues to closely monitor the dengue situation and urges everyone to cooperate in prevention and control efforts, particularly through the 4S Strategy: Search and destroy mosquito-breeding places, employ Self-protection measures, Seek early consultation, and Support fogging/spraying only in hotspot areas when indicated.

In accordance with the emergency directives issued by the Provincial Government of Albay, Local Government Units (LGUs) in Albay, the Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office (APSEMO), the Provincial Health Office (PHO), and the Department of Health (DOH) Albay, the City Government of Legazpi hereby announces the suspension of classes in ๐ฃ๐จ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ข๐ข๐๐ฆ (elementary and high school) from Monday to Friday, and in ๐ฃ๐ฅ๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ข๐ข๐๐ฆ (elementary and high school) on Thursday and Friday, to mitigate the recent surge of Dengue cases in the city. CITY-WIDE MITIGATION EFFORTS
โDuring this period, the City Government of Legazpi, in coordination with health and safety agencies, will conduct massive dengue mitigation measures across all barangays. Key operational activities include:
