𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) of Alfonso Lista spearheaded a tree-planting activity at the Municipal Eco Park – 1K Steps in observance of 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉. The activity brought together LGU employees, personnel from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), uniformed personnel, and other stakeholders, demonstrating a shared commitment to environmental protection and disaster preparedness. Members of the Municipal Nutrition Council also participated, as the observance coincided with the celebration of 𝑵𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉.

The tree-planting activity emphasized the vital role of trees in reducing the impacts of climate-related hazards such as 𝑬𝒍 𝑵𝒊ñ𝒐, 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒅𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕, 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒕, 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒚 𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍, and 𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈.

Through initiatives like this, the Municipality of Alfonso Lista continues to strengthen environmental conservation while promoting disaster resilience and encouraging the community to take an active role in protecting natural resources for future generations.
