📢 **WATER SERVICE ADVISORY**

Pahibalo, adunay paghinay sa presyur sa tubig nga mahimong masinati sa mga habog nga bahin sa Barangay Bacong, lakip na ang Sitio Fatima, Pulang Araw, dalan gikan sa Fatima paingon sa Dagohoy, duol sa Barangay Hall, ug uban pang apektadong lugar, **ilabina panahon sa peak hours o mga oras nga daghan ang naggamit og tubig.**

Kini tungod sa dakong leaking nga naangkon sa Poblacion reservoir tank, nga sa pagkakaron dili magamit samtang nagpadayon ang pag-ayo niini.

WATER INTERRUPTION ADVISORY

Adunay temporaryong water interruption sa mga areas nga gi supplayan sa Tawid Reservoir 29, ilabina sa Barangay Bacong, Poblacion, ug Tawid. Kini tungod sa kalit nga pag malfunction sa electrical control system sa atong pump kaganihang udto.

Giayo na ang maong problema ug hingpit nang nakabalik sa operasyon ang pump alas 6:30 PM karong adlawa.

Hinay-hinay nang mobalik sa normal ang suplay sa tubig sa inyong mga panimalay samtang padayong gipuno pag-usab ang reservoir ug gi-recover ang pressure sa distribution lines.

📢 PUBLIC ADVISORY

🚫 DIRECT BOOSTER PUMP CONNECTIONS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED! 💧

Dear Valued Consumers,

Anda Waterworks wishes to remind the public that connecting a booster pump directly to your service line or water meter to draw water straight from our mainline is illegal and strictly prohibited.

Direct suction violates national laws, including the Philippine Clean Water Act of 2004 (RA 9275) and the Code on Sanitation of the Philippines (PD 856).

⚠️ WHY IS DIRECT SUCTION PROHIBITED?

1. It affects your neighbors.
A directly connected booster pump can draw water faster than the normal supply, significantly reducing water pressure and potentially causing low or no water supply to nearby households.

2. It creates a risk of water contamination.
Direct suction may create negative pressure or backsiphonage in the service line. This can potentially draw contaminated water from surrounding areas into the potable water system.

3. It can damage waterworks facilities.
Improper pumping can place excessive stress on service connections, pipelines, valves, and water meters.

LEGAL AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT

Consumers who experience low water pressure and need additional pumping capacity must use a proper storage tank/sump or cistern system.

✅ PROPER SETUP:

Anda Waterworks Mainline → Water Meter → Storage Tank/Cistern → Booster Pump → Household Plumbing

The booster pump must draw water only from the storage tank/cistern and NOT directly from the Anda Waterworks mainline or service line.

BACKFLOW PREVENTION IS REQUIRED

For consumers using a booster pump, a backflow-prevention device, such as an appropriate check valve/non-return valve, should be properly installed to prevent water from flowing backward toward the water supply line.

The check valve helps prevent backflow or reverse flow from the household plumbing or storage system into the Anda Waterworks line.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: A check valve does not authorize direct connection of a booster pump to the Anda Waterworks mainline. The booster pump must still be supplied from a properly installed storage tank or cistern.

NOTICE TO CONSUMERS

Anda Waterworks personnel will continue to conduct inspections and monitoring of water service connections.

Consumers found with unauthorized or improper direct-suction booster pump installations may be issued a Notice of Violation and may be subject to the applicable penalties, including fines and/or disconnection of water service, in accordance with existing laws, regulations, ordinances, and Anda Waterworks rules.

We appreciate nga inyong gipahibalo ang inyong experience. Pero gusto lang namo i-clarify nga ang pag-post or pag-comment sa social media dili pa parehas sa proper reporting sa Waterworks.

Kung naa moy problema sa tubig, palihog i-report diretso sa Anda Municipal Waterworks Page, mobile number or opisina ug ihatag ang importanteng details sama sa:

🔹 Lugar/Barangay (Specific nga area o household)
🔹 Kanus-a nagsugod ang problema
🔹 Unsa nga problema (lubog, hinay, leak, etc.)
🔹 Photo/video (kung naa)
🔹 Contact number (kung willing mo mohatag)

Importante ni kay dili parehas ang condition sa tubig sa tanang lugar. Possible nga ang hinungdan kay maintenance, leak, airlock, pipeline problem, increased demand, elevation, or other technical issues. Kinahanglan namo ang sakto nga location ug information para ma-check ug ma-determine ang actual cause.

Kung i-post lang sa Facebook without enough details, basin makita namo pero dili namo dayon mahibal-an asa exactly ang problema ug unsay kinahanglan i-check.

So, once again, palihog report directly sa Waterworks ang inyong water concerns. Pwede gihapon mo mag-comment or post, pero mas maayo nga sabayan kini ug proper report aron ma-actionan dayon.

Nakadawat kami og mga report kabahin sa hinay nga water pressure sa pipila ka lugar sa Barangay Suba ug Barangay Casica.

Tungod kay normal man ang water supply niaging mga adlaw, among susihon ugma ang mga apektadong linya aron mahibal-an ang posibleng hinungdan niini. Lakip nga among susihon mao ang posibleng bara sa pipeline, airlock, o uban pang problema sa linya nga mahimong makaapekto sa normal nga agas ug pressure sa tubig.
