The Holy Angel University - College of Criminal Justice Education and Forensics (HAU-CCJEF) celebrates six Angelites who earned recognition in the Ten Outstanding Criminology Students 2026 search conducted by the Professional Criminologist Association of the PhilippinesโRegion 3.
Michelle Shane Buluran Apostol and Jade Andrei Tapnio Caparas received Rank 1, while Leah Erika Yosuico Catacutan earned Rank 2, and Mikaela Lulu Bautista secured Rank 4. Dolliana Renton and Kyla Dizon also represented the university as finalists.
These students earned recognition through their hard work, leadership, discipline, and commitment to their studies and communities. Their accomplishments reflect the kind of graduates HAU-CCJEF strives to develop: competent, principled, and prepared to serve.
Each honoree followed a distinct path. Apostol demonstrated leadership through journalism, advocacy, and student involvement. Caparas strengthened his discipline and sense of responsibility through academic work and military training. Catacutan showed quiet determination and consistency in pursuing her goals. Bautista remained focused on her ambition to serve in law enforcement, while Renton and Dizon combined academic dedication with student leadership and perseverance.
Although their experiences and aspirations differ, all six share a commitment to using their education responsibly and to contributing to the criminal justice profession.
Their recognition also honors the people who supported them throughout their journey, their families, faculty members, mentors, classmates, and the wider HAU community. Behind each distinction are years of study, sacrifice, setbacks, growth, and the determination to keep moving forward.
For Apostol, Caparas, Catacutan, Bautista, Dizon, and Renton, this achievement marks both a celebration and a challenge. As they begin the next chapter of their lives, they carry the responsibility to practice their profession with integrity, compassion, courage, and respect for justice.
The HAU-CCJEF community congratulates these six outstanding Angelites for bringing pride and honor to the university. May their success inspire other criminology students to work with purpose, lead by example, and serve the public with integrity.
