📝 For Clarifications: GAD Fund consists of the 5% of the total budget of the LGU. It is NOT an EXTRA FUND but rather an attribution of the existing appropriations consisting of programs for Gender and Development under different offices of the LGU.

📌 Role of a Municipal Councilor: They enact local ordinances and approve GAD Plan and Budget to ensure that the LGU uses at least 5% of its total budget for GAD Programs. (In short: Uda po nakakaputan na sintabo a usad na Municipal Councilor pag abot sa implementation ag pag gamit ka kanatong GAD Fund)

✅ Local Legislation in line with GAD Fund: The Solo Parents Ordinance of the Municipality of BAAO - As the Chairperson of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs, we have successfully passed the Solo Parents Ordinance of the Municipality of Baao. This ordinance specifically provides a benefit of 1,000 pesos per month to each qualified, indigent solo parent, funded by a significant percentage of the GAD (Gender and Development) Fund.

Ngamin po kita agko freedom of speech, and parte ka pagiging usad na active citizen a mag demand kin transparency, pero kaiba po kuyan a responsibilidad ta na mag research bago kita mag biliw kin mga accusations.

JCI Iriga continues its mission of honoring excellence, through the leadership of our LO President Hon. Sherlyn Joy Hombre. Yesterday, May 5, 2026, we successfully held the Youth Leadership Excellence Awards (YLEA) 2026 at the Municipality of Bula. 🏆

A massive congratulations to our bright young leaders, with 30 awardees and especially to the two awardees from Baao who have shown what it truly means to lead with purpose.
