PRO NIR Daily Update on Continuous Monitoring and Disaster Response Operations
Tropical Storm “Basyang”

The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region continues its round-the-clock monitoring and intensified disaster response operations in the aftermath of Tropical Storm “Basyang.” All police units across the region remain on heightened alert and are in close coordination with Local Government Units (LGUs), the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), and other partner agencies to ensure the safety, security, and welfare of affected communities.
Based on consolidated reports submitted by PRO NIR police units on the ground, the current situation is as follows:
Occupied Evacuation Centers: 30
Number of Family Evacuees: 746
Number of Individual Evacuees: 2,463
Cancelled Ship/Small Watercraft Trips: 34
Cancelled Flights: 1
Stranded Passengers: 259
All units continue to closely coordinate with the City and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (CDRRMOs/MDRRMOs) and LGUs in the preparation and implementation of search, rescue, and retrieval (SRR) and relief operations.
