Operation Arikisave Our project is called Operation Arikisave- a systematic, preventive approach to combating scabies in Social
Development Center.

A comprehensive project which achieved a zero incidence of scabies among children in conflict with the law at Social Development Center through a systematic, preventive approach. We aim
(1) to achieve zero incidence of Scabies in SDC;
(2) to establish a committee that will oversee
the project (Operation ArikiSave). One of core groups’ duties is to sustain the project after implementers phase out

of the
institution; they are expected to have developed a sense of co-ownership among them;
(3) to increase the knowledge of the
children and staff on Scabies and proper and hygiene sanitation by 15%. Training and capacity building will be conducted
on both the children and the staff/administration of the SDC to ensure that they will be able to carry out their tasks effectively
and efficiently;
(4) to maintain a clean environment inside the center and;
(5) to create network for partnerships between
SDC and government and external linkages so that these organizations will continue to support the SDC even after the
implementation.
