🔥 HOW DO YOU STOP A FIRE? KNOW THIS.
Fire needs heat, fuel, oxygen, and a continuing chemical chain reaction to keep burning. Fire extinguishment works by removing or disrupting at least one of these elements.
🔥 Cooling — removes heat
💨 Smothering — limits oxygen
⛽ Starvation — removes or isolates the fuel
🧯 Chemical inhibition — interrupts the chemical chain reaction
Knowing why a fire goes out is just as important as knowing how to use the right extinguishing equipment.
⚠️ Remember: Not every extinguishing method or agent is safe for every type of fire. Always identify the hazard and use the appropriate method and extinguishing agent.
