Outfit 771 of Bagong Silang National High School achieved a 100 percent passing rate in the Board of Review during the Council Scout Jamboree 2026, with all members earning new ranks after a four-day camp held April 8โ11 at Lopez National Comprehensive High School in Lopez, Quezon.
The jamboree gathered a total of 916 scouts and scout leaders from the Boy Scout and Senior Scout sections across different municipalities of Quezon Province. Marking a significant milestone, the Council Scout Jamboree was held again after a decade, its last occurrence dating back to 2016.
The opening program was graced by guest speaker Congressman Atty. Mike Tan of the 4th District of Quezon, who inspired participants through his message of leadership, service, and youth empowerment.
Participants were grouped into four sub-campsโMaka-Bansa, Maka-Tao, Maka-Kalikasan, and Maka-Diyosโemphasizing values of service, unity, environmental awareness, and faith. Activities included safety training, practical skill-building, obstacle courses, a nature hike, and specialized tasks such as rappelling, pamaypay weaving, and molido making. Scout games also promoted teamwork and cooperation among participants.
Among those recognized, Billy S. Loberes, Clyde M. Opeรฑa, and Rhenz Mark Marquez advanced as Venturers. Named Outdoorscouts were Ken Andrew Asis (with CHARM V), John Glenn Sadili, Jasper Francia, John Manuel Lagatuz, Kirk Ledesma, Althea Benito, and Prince John Hornilla. Ceejay Millar and Kieth Saneco became Pathfinders, while Cedrick Dacomos and Sharlon Wayne Caig earned the rank of Explorers.
The event also featured a Jamboree Fiesta, showcasing interpretative dance and fancy drill competitions from various schools, including Tagkawayan delegates (TNHS, TCES, and BSNHS), LDVCNHS, and LNCHS. The delegates from Tagkawayan were supported by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tagkawayan, highlighting strong community backing for youth development initiatives.
In addition, the jamboree hosted special gatherings such as Kid/Kab City, a Woodbadge reunion, and an Eagle Scout conclave, further strengthening connections among scouts and leaders. Organizers highlighted the importance of safety, proper waste management, and respect for the host community throughout the event.
Participants cited skill development, teamwork, and new connections as key takeaways. One scout reported increased confidence and improved ability to handle unfamiliar tasks, while another emphasized the value of collaboration and shared experiences.
The jamboree concluded on April 11, leaving participants with enhanced practical skills, strengthened discipline, and a deeper sense of responsibility.
