PNP HUNTS DOWN REGION 2’s MOST WANTED FOR STATUTORY R**E CASE
The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the command of PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., successfully arrested the Regional Level No. 4 Most Wanted Person in Police Regional Office 2 during a manhunt operation conducted on June 11, 2026, in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, marking another significant accomplishment in the organization’s continuing campaign against fugitives charged with heinous crimes.
The 29-year-old Filipino male suspect, a laborer from Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest for three counts of statutory r**e issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 30, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. The warrant carried no recommended bail. The operation was led by the Aritao Municipal Police Station with the support of the 115th Special Action Company, 11th Special Action Battalion of the Special Action Force, and the Provincial Intelligence Team of the Regional Intelligence Unit 2.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Aritao Municipal Police Station while the required documentation is being completed before his turnover to the court that issued the warrant.
“The arrest of wanted persons is a clear demonstration of the Philippine National Police’s unwavering commitment to uphold the rule of law and ensure that those accused of serious crimes answer before our courts. We will continue to pursue every fugitive through lawful and sustained police operations,” said PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.
“Hindi titigil ang PNP hangga’t naihaharap sa hukuman ang mga taong may pananagutan at naibibigay ang katarungan,” he added.
This accomplishment supports the PNP Focused Agenda, a strategic roadmap for organizational transformation designed to make police service more responsive, accountable, and dependable. At the heart of this agenda are key priorities that define the course of the PNP, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which continues to reinforce intelligence-driven manhunt efforts and the consistent enforcement of warrants against wanted persons across the country.
As the PNP strengthens its campaign against wanted persons and sustains law enforcement operations under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it continues to assure the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”
