PNP HUNTS DOWN REGION 2’s MOST WANTED FOR STATUTORY R**E CASE

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the command of PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., successfully arrested the Regional Level No. 4 Most Wanted Person in Police Regional Office 2 during a manhunt operation conducted on June 11, 2026, in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, marking another significant accomplishment in the organization’s continuing campaign against fugitives charged with heinous crimes.

The 29-year-old Filipino male suspect, a laborer from Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest for three counts of statutory r**e issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 30, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. The warrant carried no recommended bail. The operation was led by the Aritao Municipal Police Station with the support of the 115th Special Action Company, 11th Special Action Battalion of the Special Action Force, and the Provincial Intelligence Team of the Regional Intelligence Unit 2.

The suspect is now under the custody of the Aritao Municipal Police Station while the required documentation is being completed before his turnover to the court that issued the warrant.

“The arrest of wanted persons is a clear demonstration of the Philippine National Police’s unwavering commitment to uphold the rule of law and ensure that those accused of serious crimes answer before our courts. We will continue to pursue every fugitive through lawful and sustained police operations,” said PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.

₱3.8M WORTH OF ALLEGED COUNTERFEIT FOOD PRODUCTS SEIZED; TWO ARRESTED IN SEPARATE OPERATIONS

Authorities carried out separate law enforcement operations on June 5 and June 10, 2026, leading to the apprehension of two individuals and the seizure of alleged counterfeit food seasoning products with an estimated total value of ₱3,832,100 in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, and Guagua, Pampanga.

On June 5, 2026, personnel of the CIDG Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Field Unit, with a private partner company, conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bulatok, Pagadian City. The operation resulted in the apprehension of a female Chinese national identified as “Lin,” who was caught in the act of allegedly selling and distributing counterfeit food seasoning products in violation of the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines. Authorities recovered 728 boxes of suspected counterfeit items valued at ₱3,458,000.00.

On June 10, 2026, operatives of the CIDG Anti-Organized Crime Unit (AOCU), together with a private partner company, conducted a separate operation in Barangay Siran, Guagua, Pampanga. The operation led to the apprehension of a female businesswoman identified as “Lyn,” who was allegedly engaged in the distribution and trading of trademark-infringing food seasoning products. Confiscated were 87 boxes of suspected counterfeit items worth ₱374,100.00.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., emphasized that the PNP remains firm in its mandate to protect consumers and uphold fair trade practices. “We continue to strengthen our operations to make sure that the public is protected from illegal and unsafe products. Hindi po tayo titigil hangga’t may mga ganitong gawain na maaaring makasama sa ating mga kababayan,” he said.

He also noted that these efforts are aligned with the directives of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to further intensify law enforcement initiatives that safeguard public welfare and support legitimate industries.

PNP BARES SUCCESSFUL ANTI-SMUGGLING OPERATIONS IN ZAMBOANGA, NETS ₱6M WORTH OF CONTRABAND CI******ES

The Philippine National Police (PNP) continues to intensify its campaign against smuggling following two successful operations in Zamboanga Peninsula and Zamboanga City that led to the arrest of three individuals and the confiscation of smuggled ci******es with a total estimated market value of PhP 6,099,887.52.

The operations are aligned with the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which emphasizes coordinated action and swift response against organized illegal activities.

In the first operation conducted on June 11, 2026 in Brgy. Baclay, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur, personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Zamboanga del Sur Field Unit, in coordination with Tukuran Municipal Police Station and other operating units, intercepted smuggled ci******es transported in the area.

Two individuals were arrested during the operation. Authorities recovered around 50 master cases of ci******es with an estimated value of PhP 2,850,000.00. The suspects and seized items were immediately brought under proper custody for documentation and filing of appropriate charges.

In a separate follow-up operation conducted on June 13, 2026 in Purok Shalom, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City, joint operatives of the CIDG Zamboanga City Field Unit, Police Station 7 of the Zamboanga City Police Office, and the Bureau of Customs Region IX uncovered 22 master cases of smuggled ci******es and a white minivan believed to have been used in transporting the contraband. One Filipino male, 25 years old, was arrested in the operation. The total value of seized items in this operation was placed at PhP 3,249,887.52.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating units for their sustained vigilance and coordination, highlighting the importance of continuous operations against smuggling and other economic crimes.

“Walang puwang ang smuggling sa ating komunidad. These successful operations show how coordination and discipline produce real results on the ground,” the Chief PNP said. “Ang mahalaga, tuloy-tuloy ang ating serbisyo para maprotektahan ang ating ekonomiya at mamamayan.”

All arrested individuals are now under the custody of concerned units while appropriate charges are being prepared. The confiscated evidence has been turned over to proper authorities for further investigation and legal disposition.

PNP, NAPC LAUNCH PROJECT INVINCIBLE; 193 FORMER REBELS IN CAGAYAN RECEIVE GOVERNMENT AID

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., joined the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) and partner government agencies in launching PROJECT INVINCIBLE and facilitating the distribution of government assistance to 193 former rebels, now recognized as Peace Advocates, during a reintegration and livelihood support program held on June 9, 2026, at the 2nd Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company Headquarters in Pamplona, Cagayan.

The initiative highlighted the government’s continuing commitment to sustaining peace and promoting inclusive development by providing former rebels with opportunities to rebuild their lives and become productive members of their communities.

The program was graced by NAPC Secretary Lope B. Santos III, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, with the participation of officials from the Police Regional Office 2, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Agriculture, National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, Provincial Government of Cagayan, and the 2nd Cagayan PMFC.

Central to the program was the launch of PROJECT INVINCIBLE (Innovation for Nurturing Hope and Valuing Every Friend’s Rescued and Integration into Society for New Beginnings; Collaboration with Government Agencies to Instill Discipline and Build Community Partnerships; and Leadership with Integrity to Empower for Lasting Peace and Transformation), a convergence mechanism designed to strengthen the reintegration of former rebels through coordinated government interventions and community-based support programs.

As part of the assistance package, the 193 Peace Advocates each received financial assistance amounting to PHP10,000.00 from the Department of Social Welfare and Development, along with agricultural seeds distributed by the Department of Agriculture to support livelihood and food production initiatives.

The successful implementation of the program underscores the collective efforts of NAPC, PRO2, DSWD, DA, NTF-ELCAC, the Provincial Government of Cagayan, and the 2nd Cagayan PMFC in advancing lasting peace, social inclusion, and sustainable development across the province.

The activity likewise reflects the PNP Focused Agenda, a strategic framework for institutional transformation aimed at making police service more responsive, trusted, and community-centered. Among its key priorities is Active Community Support, which promotes stronger collaboration between law enforcement, local communities, and partner agencies in fostering peace, development, and national unity.

PGEN Nartatez emphasized the significance of empowering former rebels through sustained government intervention and community partnership.

“Peace is strengthened when people are given real opportunities to rebuild their lives, contribute to their communities, and become partners in nation-building. Programs that support reintegration help transform former conflict areas into communities of growth and progress,” said PGEN Nartatez.

He further stressed the importance of unity in sustaining the gains of peace initiatives.

“Ang tunay na kapayapaan ay nakakamit kapag ang naligaw ng landas ay nabibigyan ng bagong simula para maging katuwang sa pag-unlad ng komunidad. Patuloy nating palalakasin ang pagtutulungan ng pamahalaan at mamamayan upang mapanatili ang kapayapaan sa bawat lugar,” PGEN Nartatez said.

The Chief PNP also commended the partner agencies and local stakeholders whose collaborative efforts made the initiative possible.

“Successful reintegration programs demonstrate that lasting peace requires a whole-of-government and whole-of-community approach. By working together, we create pathways for reconciliation, development, and a more secure future for every Filipino,” he said.

PNP NETS ₱13.8 MILLION SHABU IN CDO BUY-BUST; TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED

A successful anti-illegal drug operation in Cagayan de Oro City on June 12, 2026 led to the arrest of two male suspects and the seizure of more than two kilos of suspected shabu, underscoring the Philippine National Police’s sustained drive against illegal drugs.

Earlier today, personnel of the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office, in coordination with the 1001st Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10, CMFC COCPO, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 10, conducted a joint buy-bust operation in Barangay Puerto, Cagayan de Oro City.
The operation resulted in the arrest of two male suspects, aged 32 and 37, both residents of Misamis Oriental.

Confiscated during the operation were sachets of suspected shabu used in the transaction and additional large sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. Authorities also recovered buy-bust money, a mobile phone, personal bags, and various items believed to have been used in the illegal activity, including drug paraphernalia and a motorcycle.

The total weight of seized suspected shabu was approximately 2,030 grams with an estimated standard drug price of ₱13,804,000.00. The suspects are currently under the custody of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office for proper documentation and filing of appropriate charges.

Chief of the Philippine National Police, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., lauded the coordinated effort of operating units, emphasizing that intensified operations against illegal drugs remain a core priority of the organization.

“This accomplishment shows our sustained determination to disrupt illegal drug activities at the community level. Patuloy ang ating operasyon at mas pinalalakas pa natin ang coordination with partner agencies to ensure that drug networks are dismantled effectively,” the Chief PNP said.

PNP LEADS ORDERLY FI****MS TURNOVER AND SAFEKEEPING IN DAVAO CITY

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through its Civil Security Group (CSG), successfully carried out a structured and orderly fi****ms safekeeping process in Davao City on June 11, 2026, highlighting its continuing efforts to strengthen compliance with fi****ms laws while ensuring smooth and respectful coordination with stakeholders.

The activity was led by the Regional Civil Security Unit 11 as part of the implementation of the Notice and Order of Revocation of License to Own and Possess Fi****ms (LTOPF) and firearm registrations. It involved the inventory, verification of serial numbers, and physical inspection of fi****ms prior to their voluntary turnover for safekeeping.

The fi****ms were voluntarily turned over from the residence associated with Senator Ronald M. Dela Rosa in Barangay Maa, Davao City, through his authorized legal representative, in coordination with personnel of RCSU 11. The process was conducted in an orderly manner, ensuring that all procedures were properly observed and fully documented.

A total of twenty (20) fi****ms were accounted for, properly recorded, and issued with corresponding acknowledgment receipts before being transported to the RCSU 11 office at Camp Sgt. Quintin M. Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City, where they are now under official custody for safekeeping in accordance with PNP rules and procedures.

The PNP underscored that the activity reflects a balanced approach to enforcement—firm in applying regulations while ensuring due process, transparency, and proper coordination with concerned parties. It also highlights the importance of structured compliance mechanisms in maintaining public trust in fi****ms regulation.

PNP REPORTS GENERALLY PEACEFUL NATIONWIDE OBSERVANCE OF 128TH PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported that the nationwide commemoration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day on Friday, June 12, was generally peaceful, with no major untoward incidents recorded during the day's official activities, public gatherings, and commemorative events.

More than 90,000 PNP personnel, backed by augmentation units and force multipliers, were deployed across the country to secure key venues, transportation hubs, and areas of convergence. Their presence ensured the orderly conduct of Independence Day activities while allowing the public to commemorate the occasion safely.

The day's main celebration at Rizal Park, led by His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., served as a meaningful tribute to the nation's freedom and the enduring legacy of its heroes. Chief, PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. joined the President, together with the heads of national government agencies, diplomatic corps, uniformed services, and other distinguished guests, in the commemorative rites.

Simultaneously, flag-raising ceremonies and Independence Day observances were conducted in Police Regional Offices, Provincial Police Offices, City and Municipal Police Stations, and other PNP units nationwide, reflecting the organization's solidarity with the Filipino people in honoring the country's hard-earned liberty.

Despite several peaceful public assemblies monitored in Metro Manila and other regions, all activities concluded without major disruption. According to the PNP Command Center, a total of 24 public assemblies, with an estimated combined attendance of 1,839 participants, were monitored nationwide. All activities ended peacefully, with the last monitored gathering concluding at around 9:00 pm.

The smooth conduct of security operations reflects the continuing implementation of the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which emphasizes proactive security planning, inter-agency coordination, and timely police response while upholding the constitutional rights of every Filipino.

Ang inyong propesyonalismo, disiplina, at malasakit ang nagbigay ng katiyakan sa ating mga kababayan na maaari nilang gunitain ang araw na ito nang ligtas at maayos. Ipagpatuloy natin ang tapat na paglilingkod sa sambayanan araw-araw," he added.
